Vesak Poya 2026: A Time for Reflection
This sacred season is an opportunity to embrace the values of kindness and inner peace. Here is a reminder of the significant dates for this year’s celebrations:
Vesak Week: Observed Uposatha Sill or Ajiwaka Ashtamaka Sil from May 27th to June 2nd.
State Vesak Poya: Held on May 30th (Saturday), coinciding with the auspicious Visa Nakatha.
Public Holiday: Following the Poya, May 31st (Sunday) is designated as a public holiday.
