Our primary purpose in life is not merely to seek miracles, but to please God. When we focus on pleasing Him, we position ourselves to experience His power.

You are not commended simply for praying for all the time; you are commended for having faith.

What are you spending your time listening to? Many people are losing hope because of what they hear. Whatever you continually hear built up something inside of you, and what is built within you will either lead you to please God or to displease Him.

Jesus said in John 10 “My sheep knows my voice.” As believers, we must learn to recognize and follow the voice of God above every other voice.

As a child of God, your value is not determined by your hairstyle or the clothes you wear. What truly matters is what is inside you; your faith. Have faith in God.

When you have faith, you are positioned differently because your faith connects you with God.

Isaiah 53 asks the question: “Whose report shall we believe?” Choose to believe the report of the Lord and stand firm in faith.

Sermon Title: Only Faith Pleases God

Scripture Reference: Hebrews 11:2–6

Faith is one of the most important foundations of the Christian life. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore, every believer must examine their life and ask, “Do I truly have faith in God?”

Faith means trusting God completely and believing that He will fulfill every promise He has made in His Word. It is not enough to simply say that we believe; genuine faith is demonstrated by our confidence in God, even when circumstances seem difficult.

You need to understand how faith enters your heart. The Bible teaches that faith comes by hearing the Word of God.
If you do not have faith, it may be because you are not spending enough time with the Word of God.

Even those who lack faith can say that they believe. As a child of God, you need to ask yourself today: “Do I truly have faith?”

4. Separate Yourself

Separating yourself means letting go of the old habits and lifestyles that do not glorify God.
This includes the things you watch, the entertainment you consume, and activities that draw you away from God's presence.

When God delivers you from your past, He expects you to leave behind the things that hinder your spiritual growth.

5. Do Not Miss Church Services

Do not distance yourself from the house of God, because that can easily lead you back to your old life. Church is a place where God ministers to His people, where you get serviced.

Just as a vehicle requires regular servicing to function properly, believers also need regular spiritual servicing. If you are not being spiritually serviced, you may struggle to function effectively in your walk with God.

To avoid going back to our old ways and losing the blessings we have received, there are important things we must do:

1. Prayer

There is no way to maintain your spiritual life without prayer. What is received through prayer should also be maintained through prayer.

The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray without ceasing.” Prayer keeps us connected to God, strengthens our faith, and helps us overcome temptation.

Jesus also taught His disciples to watch and pray so that they would not fall into temptation. A believer who prays consistently remains spiritually alert and strong.

2. Read the Word of God

Joshua 1:8 instructs us to meditate on the Word of God day and night. When we continually read and meditate on God's Word, our faith grows and we become firmly rooted in Him.

3. Keep Godly Company

The people you surround yourself with play a significant role in your spiritual journey. Ask yourself: What do the people around you say about God, the church, and the servants of God? The company you keep can either pull you backward or help you move forward into God's purpose for your life.
