: FOCUS ON GOD’S ASSIGNMENT FOR YOUR LIFE

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Ephesians 2:10 NLT
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Colossians 3:2 KJV
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Acts 20:24 GW
But I do not place any value on my own life. I want to finish the race I’m running. I want to carry out the mission I received from the Lord Jesus—the mission of testifying to the Good News of God’s kindness.

Philippians 3:13-14 TPT
I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however, I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.

:

Heavenly Father, thank You that You have specific plans and a unique assignment for my life; good works prepared in advance for me to walk in. Help me to lay aside every weight and sin that distracts, and to run with endurance the race You have set before me. Help me fix my eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith, setting my heart on things above rather than the distractions of this world. Holy Spirit, teach me to value Your mission above my own comfort, to forget what is behind and press toward the heavenly goal You have called me to. May I finish my race well, fully carrying out the assignment I received from the Lord Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Who remembers a time where Adoration looked like the dancing angels?😂

We really think that a plan needs to be made to have these outfits come back again (in honour of our 40th birthday, of course😉)

What do you say, Adoration members?👀

: BELIEVE GOD TO ORDER YOUR STEPS

Proverbs 16:9 NIV
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.

Psalm 37:23-24 NLT
The Lord makes each step of the righteous secure; he delights in the way they go. Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

Proverbs 20:24 NKJV
A man's steps are from the Lord; how then can man understand his own way?

Jeremiah 10:23 KJV
O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that he walks to direct his steps.

Psalm 1:3 GW
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

Romans 8:28 TPT
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

:

Heavenly Father, we believe You to order our steps, knowing that though we plan our course, You establish the path. Thank You that You make each step of the righteous secure, delighting in the way we go. Holy Spirit, teach us that our steps are from You and that we cannot direct our own way on our own. Plant us like a tree by streams of water, yielding fruit in season and prospering in all we do. May we trust that in all things You work for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Guide our journey, Lord, and let Your hand hold us steady. In Jesus' name, Amen.

: PURSUE KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM AS PART OF GOD'S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE

Proverbs 1:7 NIV
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 2:6 NLT
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

James 1:5 NKJV
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Proverbs 4:7 KJV
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Colossians 1:9 GW
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, have not stopped praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

:

Heavenly Father, we pursue knowledge and wisdom as part of Your plan for our lives, knowing that the fear of You is the beginning of wisdom. Thank You that wisdom comes from Your mouth, and You give it liberally to all who ask without reproach. Holy Spirit, fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so we may know You better. Help us to get wisdom as the principal thing, and with all our getting, get understanding. May we grow in wisdom and knowledge, walking in alignment with Your purpose for us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

This Sunday marked the final week of our Youth Month testimonies. Throughout the month, we have been blessed by the stories, wisdom, and experiences of men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving the Lord. Their testimonies have reminded us that God’s faithfulness is not just something we read about in Scripture, but something we can experience personally in every season of life.

Exodus 20:12

Jabu Dlamini shared practical wisdom for young believers navigating life, particularly those who may find themselves far from home, school, or church. She encouraged young people to intentionally seek out fellow believers who will help them grow in their faith and remain accountable in their walk with God. Her testimony highlighted the importance of supporting one another, serving wholeheartedly, and being willing to help wherever there is a need. She also spoke about how serving in the church develops character, leadership, and skills that extend beyond ministry into the workplace and everyday life. Her message was a reminder that there is nothing wrong with starting over when necessary, and that a heart willing to serve is a heart that God can use.

Joshua 1:2–6

Emmanuel Maswanganyi spoke about the importance of community and conviction in the life of a young believer. He shared how finding a church community helps establish strong spiritual roots and provides the support needed to remain steadfast in faith. He challenged young people to pursue holiness even when it means standing apart from the crowd. While choosing God’s way may not always seem rewarding in the moment, he reminded us that a life of obedience and holiness produces lasting fruit. His testimony encouraged believers to have the courage to walk a different path from their peers when that path leads closer to God.

Keneilwe Pelesa delivered a powerful message on God’s restoration and healing. She reminded us that God is not limited by our backgrounds, upbringing, disappointments, or brokenness. Through the cross, God has given us an eternal declaration of His love and His desire to restore what has been damaged. She spoke honestly about forgiveness as a journey that often takes time, requiring grace, patience, and dependence on God. Her message encouraged us not to allow pain to define our identity, but rather to remain anchored in Christ. Using the image of a pearl formed through irritation and discomfort, she reminded us that God can transform our deepest wounds into something beautiful and valuable when we place them in His hands.

1 Corinthians 15:46
Psalm 37:23
Proverbs 20:24

Professor Gloria Mbokota shared a powerful message on education, purpose, and God’s guidance. She reminded us that while God ordains our steps, we must still be willing to take them. We may make plans, but ultimately it is God who establishes our path. Her message strongly encouraged young people to pursue education with diligence and excellence, recognising it as one of the tools God uses to open doors, create opportunities, and break cycles of poverty.

Professor Mbokota emphasised that education is more than obtaining qualifications; it equips individuals with knowledge, confidence, influence, and social capital that can positively impact families, communities, and future generations. She challenged young people not to limit their aspirations, but to pursue learning as far as they are able, even to postgraduate and doctoral levels. In doing so, they position themselves to make meaningful contributions to society while expanding the opportunities available to those who come after them.

She further encouraged the youth to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to their studies, even when circumstances are difficult. Rather than becoming discouraged by challenges, they should leverage every opportunity available to them and trust that God is directing their journey. Her message concluded with a powerful reminder that young people do not need to wait until they are older to create a legacy. Through education, discipline, faith, and perseverance, they can begin building that legacy today.

: BE THE LIGHT TO THOSE AROUND YOU

Matthew 5:14-16 NIV
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

John 8:12 NLT
When Jesus spoke to the people again, he said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."

Philippians 2:15 NKJV
That you may be beloved children of God, without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.

Ephesians 5:8 KJV
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 TPT
You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.

:

Heavenly Father, You call us to be the light to those around us; letting our light shine before others so they may see our good deeds and glorify Your Name. Thank You that Jesus is the light of the world, and when we follow Him, we walk in the light that leads to life. Holy Spirit, make us blameless children of God, shining as lights in a crooked and perverse world. Help us walk as children of light, doing everything for Your glory. May our lives reflect Your truth and love, drawing others out of darkness and into Your marvelous light. In Jesus' name, Amen.
