: BUILD YOUR COMMUNITY IN THE FAMILY OF GOD

Ephesians 2:19 NIV
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household.

Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT
And let us consider how we can spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not stop meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Acts 2:42 KJV
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Galatians 6:10 GW
So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

Romans 12:10 TPT
Be devoted to one another with genuine love. Honor others as more important than yourselves.

:

Heavenly Father, thank You that we are no longer strangers but fellow citizens and members of Your household. Help us build authentic community in Your family by loving the brotherhood, honoring one another, and spurring each other toward love and good deeds. Teach us not to neglect gathering together but to remain steadfast in doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. Holy Spirit, make us devoted to one another with genuine love, putting others before ourselves and working for the good of all, especially those in Your family. May our community reflect Your heart, drawing others into the warmth and unity of Your family. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Another day, another throwback video, and more proof that Ps Kotu used to preach in a blazer (Kyk wat doen n blazer😂)

We throwback to another timeless teaching on servanthood, and how serving does not only end when you take off your department’s uniform, but rather extends to how you treat your fellow neighbours.

Were you perhaps sitting somewhere in the crowd on this day? Do you remember this teaching?

: THE HOUSE OF THE LORD IS A PLACE OF REFUGE

Psalm 27:4 NIV
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.””

Psalm 46:1 NLT
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Exodus 25:8 NKJV
And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

Psalm 23:6 KJV
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Hebrews 10:25 GW
Do not neglect to meet together, as some are doing, but encourage one another, and all the more as you see the days drawing near.

:

Loving God, Your House is a place of refuge where we find safety, strength, and Your ever-present help in every trouble. We seek to dwell in Your temple all the days of our lives, gazing on Your beauty and drawing near to Your throne of grace. Thank You for making a sanctuary where You dwell among us, where goodness and mercy follow us forever. Holy Spirit, encourage us not to neglect gathering together but to meet in Your House with boldness, receiving tender mercy and grace when we need it most. May the House of the Lord remain our sanctuary, our refuge, and our home. In Jesus' name, Amen.

: FORGIVING SETS YOU FREE

Matthew 6:14-15 NIV
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Ephesians 4:31-32 NLT
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ.

Colossians 3:13 NKJV
Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Mark 11:25 KJV
And whenever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Hebrews 12:15 GW
Watch out that no root of bitterness springs up to cause trouble and to defile many.

2 Corinthians 2:10-11 TPT
If you forgive anyone, I also forgive them. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I forgave them in the presence of Christ on your behalf, so that we would not be outwitted by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

:

Heavenly Father, teach us that forgiving others sets us free from bitterness, anger, and the root of bitterness that defiles. Help us get rid of all malice and rage, choosing instead to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving just as Christ forgave us. When we stand praying, cleanse our hearts of any unforgiveness so Your forgiveness may flow freely through us. Holy Spirit, protect us from satan's schemes that use unforgiveness to bind us. May we experience the true freedom that comes when we release others from their debt, just as we have been released from ours. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We officially kicked off Youth Month this morning with three powerful and life-changing testimonies—stories of God’s grace, guidance, and faithfulness. These testimonies served as both an encouragement and a challenge to young people navigating their walk with Christ.

1 Timothy 4:12

Brother Emmanuel shared how the church became a place of refuge and protection in his life. He spoke about the importance of remaining planted in the house of God, especially during seasons when the pressures of the world and the influence of the wrong crowd can easily lead young people astray. His testimony reminded us that God often uses the church community to provide safety, direction, and purpose.

Brother Thato highlighted the value of finding genuine community within the church. He encouraged young people to see the church as more than a Sunday gathering. It is a place where relationships are built, burdens are shared, wisdom is received, and support can be found for every area of life—spiritually, emotionally, academically, professionally, and personally. His testimony was a reminder that we were never meant to do life alone.

Job 42:2–5

Finally, Sister Khahliso shared a moving testimony on reconciliation between parents and children. She spoke about a dimension of deliverance that is often overlooked—the willingness to die to self, extend forgiveness, and pursue healing in broken relationships. Her testimony reminded us that true freedom is not only found in what God delivers us from, but also in what He restores within us.

: WE'RE CALLED TO IMPACT THE WORLD FOR CHRIST

Matthew 5:14-16 NIV
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Acts 1:8 NLT
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Philippians 2:15 KJV
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

Romans 12:2 GW
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Ephesians 5:8-9 TPT
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light—for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.

:

Heavenly Father, You call us to impact the world for Christ as light and salt, shining in a crooked and perverse generation. Give us power through the Holy Spirit to be Your witnesses to the ends of the earth, turning many to righteousness. Transform our minds so we are not conformed to this world but prove Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. Holy Spirit, help us live as children of light, producing fruit in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. May our good deeds be so visible that others see them and glorify The Name of The Lord. Let our lives leave a lasting impact that draws souls to Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.

: EVERY BELIEVER'S ROLE; BEING THE SALT OF THE EARTH

Matthew 5:13 NIV
"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot."

2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT
We are Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Colossians 4:6 NKJV
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

1 Peter 2:9 KJV
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

Philippians 2:15 GW
So that you will be blameless and innocent. You are God's children who are not flawed by anything. You shine like stars in the world.

:

Lord Jesus, You call us the salt of the earth; every believer has this sacred role to preserve, flavor, and bring healing to a dying world. Help us never to lose our saltiness but to remain faithful ambassadors who season our words with grace. Make us a chosen generation that shines like stars in the darkness, showing forth Your praises to all who watch us. Holy Spirit, keep us blameless and innocent, filled with salt that brings peace and points others to reconciliation with God. May our lives flavor the world with Your truth, love, and righteousness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
