: THE HOUSE OF THE LORD IS A PLACE OF REFUGE

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.””

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Loving God, Your House is a place of refuge where we find safety, strength, and Your ever-present help in every trouble. We seek to dwell in Your temple all the days of our lives, gazing on Your beauty and drawing near to Your throne of grace. Thank You for making a sanctuary where You dwell among us, where goodness and mercy follow us forever. Holy Spirit, encourage us not to neglect gathering together but to meet in Your House with boldness, receiving tender mercy and grace when we need it most. : FORGIVING SETS YOU FREE

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ.

Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

And whenever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Watch out that no root of bitterness springs up to cause trouble and to defile many.

Heavenly Father, teach us that forgiving others sets us free from bitterness, anger, and the root of bitterness that defiles. Help us get rid of all malice and rage, choosing instead to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving just as Christ forgave us. When we stand praying, cleanse our hearts of any unforgiveness so Your forgiveness may flow freely through us. Holy Spirit, protect us from satan's schemes that use unforgiveness to bind us. May we experience the true freedom that comes when we release others from their debt, just as we have been released from ours. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We officially kicked off Youth Month this morning with three powerful and life-changing testimonies—stories of God’s grace, guidance, and faithfulness. These testimonies served as both an encouragement and a challenge to young people navigating their walk with Christ.

1 Timothy 4:12

Brother Emmanuel shared how the church became a place of refuge and protection in his life. He spoke about the importance of remaining planted in the house of God, especially during seasons when the pressures of the world and the influence of the wrong crowd can easily lead young people astray. His testimony reminded us that God often uses the church community to provide safety, direction, and purpose.

Brother Thato highlighted the value of finding genuine community within the church. He encouraged young people to see the church as more than a Sunday gathering. It is a place where relationships are built, burdens are shared, wisdom is received, and support can be found for every area of life—spiritually, emotionally, academically, professionally, and personally. His testimony was a reminder that we were never meant to do life alone.

Job 42:2–5

Finally, Sister Khahliso shared a moving testimony on reconciliation between parents and children. She spoke about a dimension of deliverance that is often overlooked—the willingness to die to self, extend forgiveness, and pursue healing in broken relationships. Her testimony reminded us that true freedom is not only found in what God delivers us from, but also in what He restores within us.

Heavenly Father, You call us to impact the world for Christ as light and salt, shining in a crooked and perverse generation. Give us power through the Holy Spirit to be Your witnesses to the ends of the earth, turning many to righteousness. Transform our minds so we are not conformed to this world but prove Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. Holy Spirit, help us live as children of light, producing fruit in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. May our good deeds be so visible that others see them and glorify The Name of The Lord. Let our lives leave a lasting impact that draws souls to Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.
