With the divine grace of Ambal, the Sree Veerakaliamman Thirukovil family warmly invites all devotees to join us for the sacred Navagraha Prana Prathishtha Mahotsavam and Ashthivaara Poosai on Sunday, 24 May 2026 at 10am.
This auspicious occasion marks the consecration of our Navagraha Sannidhi as well as the foundation prayers for the future Maha Mandapam that will serve generations of devotees to come.
Devotees are welcome to bring offerings of Navaratna (9 gems), gold, silver, and copper to be placed into the sacred foundation as part of this blessed ceremony; a symbolic act of devotion, prosperity, and spiritual legacy.
Let us come together as a community to pray, serve, and witness this historic milestone in the growth of our temple.

Our congregation is growing, and with Aadi Amman Thiruvizha approaching in the colder month of July and August, we now need a permanent sheltered Mandapam.

Our hearts are truly full as we reflect on yesterday's Annadhanam. Thank you to each and every one of you who came together to prepare and serve hot meals to the less fortunate in the Greater West Rand area. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and compassion in action.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our volunteers who braved the cold weather and gave their time so selflessly for this worthy cause. Your dedication and spirit of seva is commendable.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed towards the requirements we needed for this Annadhanam. Your generosity made it possible for us to prepare and share these meals with love.
It is through moments like these that true community bonds are formed; when we stand united in purpose and service.
Annadhanam holds a sacred place in our traditions.
The act of feeding others is considered one of the highest forms of giving; nourishing not just the body, but the soul. Yesterday, we lived that value together, giving back to the very community in which we are rooted. Our heartfelt appreciation is also extended to the team at Beagle Watch for assisting with the delivery of meals to the residents at the Thandanani Centre.
May we continue to grow in service, kindness, and unity.
