This August, we invite you to join us every Sunday at Olive Hills Church for a special month of ministry led by our Women’s Ministry.

Theme for the Year: Speak the Word – “It Is Written”
August Focus: Lord, You See Me

In a world filled with many voices, we are choosing to stand on the unchanging truth of God’s Word. Throughout this month, we will discover not only that God sees us, but also what He says about us.
Together, we will explore His promises, His truth, and our identity in Christ. We will be reminded that we are loved, chosen, known, forgiven, valued, and called according to His purpose. As we declare, “It is written,” we will learn to replace fear with faith, lies with truth, and uncertainty with the confidence found in God’s Word.
Join us every Sunday as we gather to worship, grow, and be encouraged by the One who sees every heart and speaks life over His daughters.

SURGE YOUNG ADULTS MONTH | FINAL WEEK
Theme: BEYOND THE WALLS
"Therefore Go..."- Matthew 28:19

We are excited to announce that Elder James Barendse as our minister for the final week of SURGE Young Adults Month!

Elder James is truly a son of the house, faithfully serving at Olive Hills Church as an Elder and leader of our Men's Ministry. Alongside his wife, Madeleine Barendse, he is actively involved in investing in the next generation through youth ministry. Together they are blessed with two beautiful children, Ava and Asha.

A man of prayer, Elder James hosts an online prayer gathering called "Prayer Is Key", encouraging believers to pursue a deeper relationship with God through consistent prayer and devotion. He carries a passion for revival and longs to see the power of God at work in our generation through miracles, signs, wonders, healing, freedom, and deliverance.

His ministry is marked by a heart to see people encounter Jesus, break free from bo***ge, and walk in the fullness of what God has called them to be. In addition to ministry, he is also a gifted singer and songwriter who uses his gifts to glorify God and lead others into His presence.
Known for his joyful spirit, genuine love for people, and his ability to laugh at his own jokes before anyone else does, Elder James brings both authenticity and passion wherever he ministers.

Join us every Thursday from 12:00–13:00 for our weekly Pray Hour at church.

This time is open to everyone. If you’re at home, on leave, working nearby, or simply free during the day, we would love for you to join us.

We gather for a powerful hour of Worship, the Word, and Prayer as we seek the Lord together and stand in the gap for our families, church, and community.

Please take note of the new time: 12:00–13:00 every Thursday.

SURGE YOUNG ADULTS MONTH | WEEK 3
BEYOND THE WALLS
"Therefore Go..." Matthew 28:19

We are excited to welcome Minister Cherwin Le Roux as our guest preacher this Sunday.

He is the youngest son of Elder A.B. Le Roux and Charmaine Le Roux and was born and raised in Graaff-Reinet. He has an older brother, Ashley Le Roux.

He is a teacher and businessman who is passionate about making a difference both in the classroom and in the community. Alongside his professional responsibilities, he has a deep love for God and a burden to see young people encounter Jesus.

Cherwin is actively involved in Youth Ignite Movement, a youth initiative in Graaff-Reinet that uses worship, evangelism, and the preaching of God's Word to reach schools, communities, and the next generation with the Gospel.

He faithfully serves at AFM (AGS) Church Kroonvale, Graaff-Reinet, under the leadership of Elder Keith Wildschut, and is committed to seeing lives transformed through the power of Christ.
