This month, our hearts and prayers are focused on the dedicated missionaries supported by Keith and Lynda Beaumont’s House Church group!
Please join us in lifting up Pastor Dama and the vital ministry work he leads. Let’s pray for:
School Evangelism: Boldness, open hearts, and effective outreach as the Gospel is shared with young students.
Discipleship & Mentoring: Divine wisdom and guidance to build a fruitful, lasting program that guides youth from their school years into strong Christian adulthood.
Grounding New Believers: The faithful establishment of one-on-one follow-up ministries to anchor new converts deeply in the faith and foster spiritual growth.
Gospel Resources: A steady, abundant supply of biblically sound teaching materials for both students and educators.
Provision for the In Need: God’s grace and provision to meet the tangible, physical needs of students coming from disadvantaged families.

Thank you for prayer to support those on the frontlines of kingdom work.

It’s so easy to fall into the trap of measuring success by our material possessions and status. But Jesus says in Luke 12:15:

"Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses."

In today’s powerful sermon, Pastor Josh spoke about “Watch out for the sin of greed!”

In the Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12:13–21), a man spent his entire life storing up wealth, building bigger barns, and planning a long, comfortable retirement. But God said to him, "Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?"
Let us not store up the wrong treasure by being anxious over our possessions, by being stingy and by looking at our future without faith.

🔥 THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE:
Take time to ask yourself: "Am I rich towards God?" Let’s stop chasing things that rot and rust, and start seeking the One who gives true, eternal life.

We are continuing with feedback from our Lusikisiki Mission trip, and tomorrow it’s Geoff’s turn to share. We are eagerly anticipating what God has put on his heart!

Also, as it is the beginning of the month, we are having our Care Fund Collection. Opportunities to give will be available at the exit of the sanctuary, so please come prepared to support this vital ministry.

Serving others with love is at the heart of living out our faith! If you have a compassionate spirit, enjoy connecting with people, and want to make a difference in our church family, our Care Committee is in need of you.
Whether it’s cooking a hot meal for a family in need, offering comfort over a warm cup of tea at memorial services, or making a friendly visit to someone who needs encouragement, your presence can be a true blessing.
If you feel called to serve the House of the Lord in this special way, please add your name to the roster in the church foyer.

God is on the move, and our hearts are overflowing!

Recently, we had the absolute joy of welcoming six new members into our church family at Port Alfred Baptist Church!
"So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another." — Romans 12:5
We pray that each of them experiences a long, blessed, and fruitful journey as an active part of our body of Christ. Please join us in keeping our new brothers and sisters in prayer as they plug into ministry, grow in their faith, and share God’s love with our local community.

If you are considering membership please join one of our membership meetings which take place every last Sunday of the month, directly after the service.

Looking back at yesterdays powerful Word shared by Pastor Josh: WATCH AND PRAY - RISE AND PRAY!
Isaiah 58:1 “Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their sins."
Jesus went to the Mount of Olives to pray. He faced deep sorrow, yet He surrendered to God's will. He told His disciples a vital truth in Luke 22:46: "Rise and pray so that you may not enter into temptation."
As part of our Vision 2026: Watch and Pray, we must stay spiritually alert. Temptation comes when we least expect it. Prayer is our spiritual armor.
Let us Stand Firm:
• Stay Awake
• Turn to God First
• Rely on His Strength
"Father, not my will, but yours be done." — Luke 22:42

What a beautiful Sunday at Port Alfred Baptist!
Character Through Suffering: Pastor Josh brought an incredibly powerful message today from Luke 22:31–34. We were reminded that our trials aren't meant to break us, but to build us. When we persevere through life's hardest seasons, God uses that suffering to shape our character, deepen our faith, and anchor our trust in Him.
A sincere thank you to our worship team for leading us so beautifully into God's presence with authentic praise!
Our sanctuary was packed with hearts hungry for Christ—there is nothing quite like worshiping together as a church family.
Our little ones had a blessed time digging deep into Jesus’ Word, learning what it means to follow Him from an early age.
Whatever you’re walking through this week, hold fast to Jesus and remember that He is refining you every step of the way.
"I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail." — Luke 22:32
