“The field is ready. The season has shifted.”

September is a month of awakening.

What has been dormant is beginning to stir. What appeared barren is not forgotten. What seemed delayed has not been abandoned. There are seeds beneath the surface that have been developing in the hidden place, and now the season is changing.

Do not judge your future by what the field looks like today.

There is life beneath the surface.

This is a season to lift your head again. Do not allow disappointment, delay, past experiences, or present circumstances to determine what you expect from God. Hope again. Believe again. Expect again.

Stretch your roots deeper into God and His Word.

The deeper the roots, the greater the capacity to flourish. This is a season for inward strengthening. God is establishing His people so that what begins to bloom will not quickly wither.

You have been learning to trust God in the hidden places. Now you must learn to expect Him in the visible places.

There will be new opportunities, new beginnings, renewed relationships, fresh ideas, restored vision, and doors that correspond with the season God is bringing you into. But do not become so focused on the bloom that you neglect the root.

The bloom is visible, but the root sustains it.

September is a call to return to the place of faithfulness—to prayer, to God's Word, to obedience, to diligence, and to wholehearted trust in God.

Do not settle for merely knowing that Christ has made you free.

Walk in the freedom with which Christ has set you free.

Do not merely possess hope as an idea.

Let hope become an anchor for your soul.

Do not merely hear God's Word.

Let His Word become the foundation upon which you live.

And do not despise small beginnings. A new bloom may appear small, but it carries evidence that something alive has been growing.

What God has planted, He intends to cultivate.

So, lift your head.

Open your heart.

Strengthen your roots.

Prepare your field.

Expect God to move.

The season has shifted.

New blooms are coming forth.

“Lift your head, stretch your roots towards Me, and expect to flourish where I have planted you, says the Lord.”

September is not a month to remain buried in yesterday.

It is a month to rise, to grow, and to flourish.

The field is ready.
The season has shifted.
The roots are established.
The blooms are coming.

Hope again. Expect again. Flourish again.

Title: PUT OFF, BE RENEWED, PUT ON

Learning Christ Through the Transformation of the Mind:

Scripture Reference:
Ephesians 4:22–24
“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

Reflection:

Paul gives us a powerful picture of how transformation takes place in the life of a believer.

We are not called merely to stop bad behaviour. We are called to put off the old way of living, to be renewed in the spirit of our minds, and to put on the new way of life that God has created in us.

The old patterns may have been shaped by our past experiences, upbringing, culture, personality, habits, or natural predispositions. These things may help explain why we respond in certain ways, but they do not have to determine how we live.

In Christ, we have been given a new identity and a new way of living.

The key is the renewal of the mind.

As we hear God's Word, believe His truth, allow it to become our conviction, and practice what He reveals, the Holy Spirit progressively transforms the way we think, respond, and live.

This transformation is not merely for our personal benefit. We are members of Christ's body (1 Corinthians 12:27). Therefore, what God transforms in us contributes to the health, unity, maturity, and witness of the whole body.

The question is not simply, “What do I need to change?”

The deeper question is:

«“How is Christ teaching me to live differently, and how can I cooperate with the Holy Spirit in that transformation?”»

We put off what no longer belongs to our new life in Christ.

We allow our minds to be continually renewed by God's truth.

We put on the character and conduct that correspond with who we are in Christ.

Discussion Questions:

1. What old pattern, mindset, reaction, or behaviour do you recognise in your life that God is calling you to put off, and what truth from His Word should replace it?
2. How can your personal transformation—through renewed thinking and Christlike living—strengthen the unity, maturity, and witness of the body of Christ?

Declaration of Faith:

I am in Christ, and I have been given a new life. I will not allow my past, my natural tendencies, or old patterns to define how I live. I choose to put off the old way of living, to be continually renewed in the spirit of my mind through God's Word and the Holy Spirit, and to put on the new person created according to God in righteousness and true holiness. As Christ transforms me, my life will strengthen His body and bring glory to His name. I will continue learning Christ and walking in His truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for the new life You have given us in Jesus Christ. Thank You that we are not bound to the patterns of our former way of living.

Holy Spirit, search our hearts and reveal what needs to be put off. Expose every thought, attitude, habit, reaction, and behaviour that does not agree with the life You have given us in Christ. Give us grace not merely to recognise these things, but to surrender them to You.

Renew our minds through Your Word. Teach us to hear Your truth, believe it, internalise it, and live it. Help us to put on the new person who has been created according to God in righteousness and true holiness.

Transform our human experience so that Christ is increasingly seen in our thoughts, our words, our relationships, our decisions, and our actions.

And because we are members of one body, let our personal transformation contribute to the unity, maturity, holiness, and mission of Your church. Make us people who build one another up and faithfully fulfil the calling You have given us.

May Christ be formed in us and glorified through us.

We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Kaleo Ministries International – Fire Hub Lesson 5 August 2026:

'I Sought the Lord, and He Heard Me'

Scripture:

Psalm 34:4:

"I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears."

Reflection:

David's testimony reminds us that our hope is not found in our circumstances but in the God who hears. Before David experienced deliverance, he first sought the Lord. Seeking God is an intentional turning of our hearts toward Him in faith, trust, and dependence.

The promise of this verse is not that life will be free from difficulty, but that God is present in the midst of it. He hears the prayers of His people and responds according to His perfect wisdom, timing, and love. Sometimes He changes our circumstances; other times He changes our hearts, replacing fear with His peace and strengthening us to endure with confidence.

Throughout Scripture we see this pattern repeated. Hannah sought the Lord, and He answered her. Blind Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus, and He heard him. The early church prayed for Peter, and God answered with miraculous deliverance. These testimonies encourage us to seek the Lord with confidence, knowing that He remains faithful today.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we approach God with assurance because Christ has opened the way into the Father's presence. We seek Him with hope, trusting that He hears us and that His answers will always accomplish His good purposes.

Discussion Questions:

1. What does it practically mean to seek the Lord first before seeking other solutions, and how can we cultivate this as a daily habit?

2. Can you share a time when you experienced God hearing and answering your prayer? How did that experience strengthen your faith and hope?

Declaration of Faith:

Today I choose to seek the Lord with all my heart. Through Jesus Christ I have confidence to come before my heavenly Father. I believe that He hears my prayers, knows my needs, and answers according to His perfect wisdom and love. I will not be ruled by fear, for my hope is in the Lord. He is faithful yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

We thank You that You are the God who hears those who seek You. Thank You for inviting us into Your presence through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Teach us to seek You first in every circumstance and to trust Your wisdom, Your timing, and Your perfect will.

Strengthen every heart that is weary, encourage those who are discouraged, and replace every fear with the peace that comes from Your presence. Increase our faith as we remember Your faithfulness throughout Scripture and in our own lives. May our lives become a testimony that You are a God who hears and answers prayer.

Help us to walk each day with hope, confidence, and joyful obedience, bringing glory to Your name in all that we do.

We pray this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
