“Here Am I”

Scripture:
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’” — Isaiah 6:8

Reflection:

Isaiah's response came after an encounter with the holiness and glory of God. Before he could say, “Here am I,” he first saw the Lord, recognized his own need for cleansing, and received God's gracious touch. Out of that place of forgiveness and transformation, a willing heart emerged.

God is still looking for men and women who will respond to His call with surrendered hearts. The call may not always be to a distant nation or a public ministry. Often it begins with simple obedience—serving where we are, speaking truth in love, praying faithfully, and being available to God each day.

The power of Isaiah's response is not found merely in the words, but in the posture of his heart. He did not ask for all the details before obeying. He simply made himself available to God. The Lord delights in using those who are yielded to Him. Our greatest qualification is not our ability but our availability.

Today, let us present ourselves afresh before the Lord and say, “Here am I. Send me wherever You desire, and use me however You choose.”

Discussion Questions:

1. What areas of your life is God calling you to greater surrender and availability?
2. How can you practically respond to God's call in your home, workplace, church, or community this week?

Declaration of Faith:

Father, I present myself to You today. I belong to You, spirit, soul, and body. I choose to yield my life fully to Your will. Open my ears to hear Your voice and soften my heart to obey Your leading. I declare that I am available for Your purposes and ready to serve wherever You send me. By Your Spirit, I will walk in obedience, faith, and humility. My life will bring glory to Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your mercy, grace, and calling upon our lives. We acknowledge that You are holy, worthy, and sovereign over all things. We surrender ourselves afresh to You today and present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable in Your sight.

Lord, remove every hindrance that keeps us from wholehearted obedience. Purify our hearts, renew our minds, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Give us ears to hear Your voice and hearts that are quick to respond. May our answer to You be, “Here am I, send me.”

Use us to reflect the love of Christ, proclaim the truth of Your Word, and serve others with humility and compassion. Strengthen us to fulfill the assignments You have prepared for us and help us to walk faithfully in every season.

We thank You that You are with us, guiding us and empowering us by Your Spirit. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in and through our lives.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

"God sustains all people through Jesus Christ and by His Spirit, enabling them to think, reason, and create. Even those who do not acknowledge Him continue to use these gifts, yet God's desire is that they come to know Christ, repent, and use their abilities for His glory.

'The Lord is... not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.' — 2 Peter 3:9

'God our Saviour... desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.' — 1 Timothy 2:3–4"

“The Spirit of Glory”

Scripture Reference:
“If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you…” — 1 Peter 4:14

The Spirit of Glory has always been active throughout Scripture.
He moved at creation, spoke through the prophets, empowered kings and judges, rested upon Jesus Christ, and now dwells within believers through Christ. The same Spirit who revealed the glory of God throughout history now lives in those who belong to Jesus.

Reflection:

Many believers desire the glory of God, but often associate glory only with visible power, miracles, or emotional experiences. Yet in 1 Peter 4:14, the Spirit of Glory is revealed in a deeper way. Peter speaks to believers who were suffering, rejected, and persecuted for the name of Christ. In the middle of hardship, he reminds them that the Spirit of Glory rests upon them.

This teaches us that God’s glory is not only revealed in moments of victory, but also in faithfulness during trials. The presence of the Holy Spirit sustains, strengthens, comforts, and transforms believers even in difficult seasons. The glory of God upon a believer is seen when there is peace in suffering, love in persecution, purity in temptation, and perseverance in hardship.

The Spirit of Glory does not simply visit believers occasionally — He dwells within them. Through Christ, we have become temples of the Holy Spirit. This means our lives should reflect God’s nature, character, and presence daily. The world should see Christ through the way we speak, live, forgive, serve, and endure.

The same Spirit that moved upon the waters in Genesis now works within believers to bring life where there is emptiness, hope where there is despair, and transformation where there was once bo***ge. God desires His glory not only to surround us, but to be revealed through us.

As believers, we must continually surrender to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to shape us into the image of Christ. The Spirit of Glory points people to Jesus, glorifies Jesus, and empowers believers to live lives that honor Him.

Discussion Questions:
1. How does the Holy Spirit reveal the glory of God in the life of a believer?
2. What areas of our lives must we surrender more fully to the Holy Spirit so that Christ may be glorified through us?

Declaration of Faith:

I declare that the Spirit of Glory and of God rests upon me.
The Holy Spirit lives within me through Jesus Christ.
I will reflect the character, love, and power of God in my daily life.
In every trial, God’s presence strengthens me.
I am a vessel for the glory of Jesus Christ.
My life will honor Him and point others to Him. Amen.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Glory and of God. Thank You that Your presence dwells within us through Jesus Christ. Teach us to walk in obedience, holiness, humility, and faith. Strengthen us in every trial and let Your glory be revealed through our lives. May we become faithful witnesses of Jesus Christ in this generation. Fill us afresh with Your Spirit and help us to live for Your glory alone.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

ASCENSION DAY — A PROPHETIC DECLARATION OVER SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦

Today, on Ascension Day, we declare that Jesus Christ reigns above every throne, power, system, and authority. He is exalted far above corruption, violence, division, fear, and darkness.

We declare over South Africa that the purposes of God will not fail.

May righteousness arise in our nation.
May truth overcome deception.
May justice flow through our cities.
May the church awaken in purity, holiness, and power.
May fathers return to their families, and may the hearts of the young turn toward God.

We declare that South Africa shall not be abandoned to despair, but shall witness the mercy and intervention of God.

As Christ ascended in glory and poured out His Spirit upon the church, may there again be a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit across this land.

Let healing come to broken communities.
Let peace come where there has been unrest.
Let hope arise where people have grown weary.

Jesus Christ is Lord over South Africa.
