Award winning TV-presenter, sports commentator and gospel singer Johnny Davids ran away from home when he was a young boy growing up on the Cape Flats. All he had known until then was a mother who had tried to kill him as a toddler and then left him with her poor deaf mother to take care of him. When he ran away, all he wanted was to be part of a family who loved him.
This is his story, the story of Boytjie, the name he had growing up. A story of grace. A story of hope.
