"The Blessing of the Triune God"

The Rector Angelo Dicks conducted the Divine Service on Sunday morning, May 31, 2026.

The service was based on 2 Corinthians 13:14 , which says:

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen."

During the service the Priest Denzil Jurgens was called up to serve the congregation.

Five souls experienced the act of Holy Baptism.

This beautiful blessing reminds us of the complete care and presence of God in our lives.

May we continue to grow in our relationship with God and reflect His grace, love, and fellowship in our homes, congregations, and communities

Confirmands Onboarding May 2026 🎯

To support our Confirmands as they transition from Sunday School into the Young People group, we’ve introduced a new initiative with monthly catch-up discussions.

Our recent session took place on Saturday morning, 30 May 2026.

The presentation focused on the topics: My Mission & Church Influence and My Ministers and Me.

Active and Alive in the Spirit!

The monthly Young People meeting was held on Thursday evening, 21 May 2026.

Facilitated by our Rector and Young People Leader, the focus was on the significance of Pentecost and its meaning for believers today.

We were reminded to recognise that, as children of God, we possess the Holy Spirit. Our responsibility is to activate this gift and allow the Spirit to work within us, transforming us, giving us boldness to proclaim the gospel of Christ and strengthening us to remain diligent in service while we wait upon the Lord. This reflects the principle of “He must increase and I must decrease” which embodies a Spirit-filled life.

We were also blessed by the presence of the Apostle Area Young People Leader, who shared further insight into the meaning of Pentecost.

Wishing everyone a blessed preparation as we look forward to the Pentecost Divine Service ❤️

“Be glad and rejoice”

On Wednesday evening, 20 May 2026, the congregations of Fish Hoek District, Hout Bay Valley, Hout Bay Heights, and Retreat West were blessed to gather at Ocean View Congregation for a Divine Service conducted by the District Apostle David Heynes, from the UK.

The service was based on Isaiah 65:18, which reads:

“But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, and her people a joy.”

Through the humble and heartfelt teaching, we were reminded to love God’s work and cherish His house. We were encouraged to serve with willing hearts, to remain faithful in our walk with God and to allow the Holy Spirit to restore, guide and strengthen us daily. The message reminded us that when we place God at the centre of our lives, true joy, peace and spiritual growth follow.

During the service, the District Rector Godwin Jacobs was called up to serve the congregation, where he emphasized that God must increase and we must decrease — less of ourselves and more of God. It was a powerful reminder to live humbly, surrender fully to God’s will and allow Him to work through us for His honour and glory.

It was truly a blessed and memorable evening. Our hearts were deeply touched, our faith was strengthened and we were once again reminded of God’s unfailing love, joy and abundant blessings.
