Encounter Notes: TWO KEYS THAT UNLOCK THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

Very often in life we go down our check list, ensuring we are behaving according to God’s Word. We land up in a position as Job was, following God out of fear and expecting Him to deliver based on getting all the scriptures right and not in a relationship based on faith. As we discussed 98 % of our genes are found in Chimpanzees on this 98 % we base the theory that man evolved from apes. But, if we check the 2 % that we do not share with our furry friends it is so far apart that there is no way we evolve from apes.

In our lives we follow the Word, covering 98 % of our lives, therefore God should show up, but He does not. Could there be
2 % of our lives that we are neglecting, that could be the key that unlocks the Kingdom of Heaven over, in and through our lives. In the scripture Matt 16:13—19 that follows, Jesus says, “There are two Keys that unlock the Kingdom of Heaven”,
Binding & Loosing.

Matt 16:13 -19
Now when Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, Who do people say that the Son of Man is? And they answered, Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. He said to them, But who do you [yourselves] say that I am?
Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Then Jesus answered him, Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter [a large piece of rock], and on this rock a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever YOU BIND (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is ALREADY BOUND in heaven; and whatever YOU LOOSE (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.

We cannot loose things in our life which God has not first loosed in Heaven over us and we cannot bind that which God has not first bound in Heaven. Asking God just for finances brings provision but not fullness, we need to be asking God to loose the finances upon earth as it has been loosed, for our lives, in Heaven. Be specific, you want what God already has set aside for you. We have not because we ask not according to His Will. You can however bind and loose continuously all the promises of God, as indicated in His Word. For example: I bind all sickness in my life in Jesus name and loose his healing in my body in Jesus name. I bind poverty and loose provision. I bind the works of Satan and his agents and I loose all God’s promises over my life. Jer. 29:11, I loose the plans that God has for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future, in Jesus name. Amen

Have fun binding and loosing.

Encounter Notes: Reflecting Well

1Pe 5:1-4
Being examples (patterns and models of Christian living)

1 Cor 13:4– 8 Love
Endures long; Is patient; Is kind;
Never is envious {nor} boils over with jealousy;
Is not boastful {or} vainglorious; Does not display itself haughtily;
It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride);
Is not rude (unmannerly); Does not act unbecomingly;
Does not insist on its own rights {or} its own way, {for} it is not self-seeking;
Is not touchy {or} fretful {or} resentful;
It takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
It does not rejoice at injustice {and} unrighteousness, but rejoices when right {and} truth prevail.
Love bears up under anything {and} everything that comes, I
Is ever ready to believe the best of every person,
Its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances,
It endures everything [without weakening].
Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].

Reflect and ask yourself the following Questions.
Am I reflecting the love and life of Christ well, to those around me?
As people look at my life, do they wanna get to know God or run far from Him?
We are God’s billboards, advertising His goodness and love.

His Word says love the Lord your God, love your neighbor as yourself.
Looking at 1 Cor 13, stand in front of a mirror and ask yourself
What am I reflecting?
Am I putting into practice all the aspects of God’s love?
Am I patient with myself? Etc...

Let us reflect Christ well to a world that desperately needs Him as He reflected the Father to a World that was saved by Him.

Encounter Notes: Your Plans Established and succeed
Steps to follow to succeed in 2014, each step out of our relationship with God the Father.
1. By the Spirit
Zechariah 4:6 ..... Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.
2. In Fellowship
James 1:14 But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed {and} baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).
3. In Worship
Rom. 12:1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, {and} beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service {and} spiritual worship.
4. Servanthood
Prov. 16:3 Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established {and} succeed.
5. Walking in Humility – A knowing that it is God that makes it happen – He alone gets the glory
Prov. 22:4 The reward of humility {and} the reverent {and} worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honour and life.
6. Faith In Action
James 2:17 So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church.

She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children. It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.

This is when the problems began.

You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.

The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this:

"My fiancee's past is not what is on trial here.

What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin.

Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial.

So, does it wash away sin or not?"

1 Tim 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life tow which you were called and about which you made good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
To maintain faith is a fight. Who is fighting?
Your Spirit Man against
• your flesh,
• the world and
• the enemy (Satan)
The fight is to believe and trust in God regardless of what is happening in and around us. To keep on believing what God says, can only come through a relationship with Him. With our eyes focused on Him, our ears attentive to His voice. His Word & Character will carry us. HE is not man that He should lie.
By lending our eyes and ears to this world, circumstances & people can leave us confused, helpless, hopeless, frustrated and fearful, if their words are opposing the Word of the Lord. There are lots of good ideas, but they are not all GOD IDEAS.
Through our relationship with God, our continual fellowship with Him we get to know His voice. He says we will hear Him. Then as we act on His instruction He will guide us.
Settle today that, If He said it, you believe it and that it is settled in your spirit man. Bring the flesh and every thought under submission of the Word of God.
It is not an easy walk, but it is fulfilling and rewarding.

Phil 4:4- 10
Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!
Let all men know {and} perceive {and} recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit).
The Lord is near [He is coming soon]. Do not fret {or} have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance {and} in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison {and} mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence {and} is honourable {and} seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely {and} lovable, whatever is kind {and} winsome {and} gracious, if there is any virtue {and} excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on {and} weigh {and} take account of these things [fix your minds on them].
Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, {and} model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.
I was made very happy in the Lord that now you have revived your interest in my welfare after so long a time; you were indeed thinking of me, but you had no opportunity to show it.

We are coming to the end of the year, and for some we tend to look back at 2012 (the year past) and ponder and debate on what we could have done differently by looking at our success and our failures. Self evaluation is always good, if it is to grow.

Looking at 2013 I am going to go into this year a little back to front. See attached picture says it all.

Result
What is the result that God want to see in my life?
Is it going to give God the Glory?

Action
Then what actions would He require from me
Do them as His Spirit leads me

Insperation
Keeping His call as my focus, Need to keep close to hear
He will inspire, motivate & Empower me

As long as He is in my life 2013 can only be a good year!

Romans 8:38
For I am persuaded beyone doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things impending & threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate me from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!!!!

Declaration of Confidence

No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper and every tongue, which rises against us, in judgement, we do condemn. This is our heritage as servants of the Lord. Our righteousness is from You, O Lord of hosts.

If there are those who have been speaking or praying against us, or seeking harm or evil to us, or who have rejected us, we forgive them. Having forgiven them, we bless them in the name of the Lord.

Now we declare, O Lord, that You and You alone are our God and besides You there is no other – a just God, a Saviour, the Father, the Son and the Spirit and we worship you.

We submit ourselves afresh to You today in unreserved obedience. Having submitted to You, Lord we do as your word directs. We resist the devil, all his pressures, his attacks, his deceptions, every instrument or agent he would seek to use against us. We do not submit, we resist him, drive him from us and exclude him from us in the Name of Jesus.

Specifically we reject and repel: infirmity, pain, infection, inflammation, malignancies, allergies, viruses and every form of witchcraft.

Finally, Lord, we thank you that through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, we have passed out from under the curse and entered into the blessing of Abraham whom You bless in all things: health, reproductiveness, prosperity, victory, and God’s favour.
Amen

Matt 7:1 - 5 DO NOT judge {and} criticize {and} condemn others, so that you may not be judged {and} criticized {and} condemned yourselves.
For just as you judge {and} criticize {and} condemn others, you will be judged {and} criticized {and} condemned, and in accordance with the measure you [use to] deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you.
Why do you stare from without at the very sma
ll particle that is in your brother's eye but do not become aware of {and} consider the beam of timber that is in your own eye?
Or how can you say to your brother, Let me get the tiny particle out of your eye, when there is the beam of timber in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first get the beam of timber out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the tiny particle out of your brother's eye.

Yesterday we looked at, keeping the Main thing the Main thing and that our focus should not be on us, but on His Will.

Looking at the above, it is clearly not His will that we should judge one another. Even though we do not understand what or why others do what they do, we are to keep His Word as our guide. Focus on Him, and pray for those around us.

God looks at a man’s heart. Man on the other hand looks at the actions, through their own filters. Clearly God knows why we do what we do. So let us leave judgement up to God and pray for our fellow brothers and sisters without judgement, but trusting for breakthrough in their trials that would lead them closer to God and wisdom for ourselves to correctly handle each and every trial.

Is that not what we would expect from others?
Thank you, God for your infinite wisdom.

05/12/2012

Matt. 6:33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His Kingdom and His Righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
Keeping the Main thing the Main thing. Have we substituted it with temporal things and ways of this day & age?
If He said it, then it is so. It is His plan, His Purpose and His Will that we should aim for.
This certainly means that as we focus on Him & His Word, we get to know Him personally. So our focus should no long be on our will, but on His Will. All we desire is for His will to be done in our lives, knowing that there is nothing better than receiving His perfect will.
