As we approach the Hebrew year ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿด๐Ÿณ, I believe it is worth pausing to consider the prophetic significance that many associate with this year and the spiritual themes that may be highlighted as we enter it.

The Hebrew calendar is not merely a different way of counting years. Throughout Scripture, numbers, seasons, appointed times and historical patterns can carry spiritual significance. For many within the prophetic community, the Hebrew year can therefore provide a framework through which we prayerfully consider what God may be highlighting in a particular season.

I am therefore sharing this as a personal and prophetic reflection, born out of my own study, research and prayerful consideration of the significance and patterns surrounding the Hebrew year 5787. It is not intended as a prediction of everything that will happen during this year, but rather as an invitation to prayerfully consider what God may be highlighting to His people in this season.

This is not presented as a prediction of everything that will happen during 5787, but as an invitation to look at the patterns, biblical principles and prophetic parallels surrounding this particular transition.

The Hebrew year ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿด๐Ÿณ begins at sundown on ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜†, ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, and continues until sundown on ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜†, ๐Ÿฎ ๐—ข๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿณ.

The year is written:

๐Ÿฑ โ€“ ๐Ÿณ โ€“ ๐Ÿด โ€“ ๐Ÿณ

Within Hebrew prophetic interpretation, particular attention is often given to the final two numbers:

๐Ÿด๐Ÿณ

The number ๐Ÿด is associated with ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐˜†, the Hebrew letter connected with the ๐—บ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต.

The number ๐Ÿณ is associated with ๐—ญ๐—ฎ๐˜†๐—ถ๐—ป, traditionally connected with the ๐˜€๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ.

This creates a striking prophetic picture:

And when we consider Scripture, the connection becomes even more significant.

The mouth can release:
God's Word
โ€ข declarations
โ€ข prophecy
โ€ข testimony
โ€ข prayer
โ€ข worship
โ€ข encouragement
โ€ข truth

But the mouth can also be used to:
โ€ข deceive
โ€ข accuse
โ€ข destroy
โ€ข curse
โ€ข spread fear
โ€ข create division

Therefore, entering 5787 may invite us to ask:

One of the most striking biblical parallels concerning the number ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ is found in the life of Moses.

Moses was ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ years old when God called him to return to Egypt and confront Pharaoh.

That detail is significant.

- Moses was not 40.
- He was not 60.
- He was ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ.

And if we understand the Hebrew prophetic association of ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ with Pey โ€” the mouth, the parallel becomes particularly compelling.

At the very age associated with the mouth, Moses was given an assignment that required him to ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ธ.

God sent Moses to Pharaoh with a message:

Moses' mandate required his mouth...
- He had to speak on behalf of God's purposes.
- He had to confront Pharaoh with a word.
- He had to declare freedom over people who had been held in bo***ge.

The fact that Moses was ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ years old when this happened therefore provides a powerful prophetic picture when we consider that we are presently living through the Hebrew ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ๐˜€ decade.

It causes us to ask:

The prophetic parallel becomes even more striking when we consider what has unfolded during this decade.

The global events of 2020 brought fear, separation, unprecedented changes and challenges to normal life.
- Mouths were literally covered.
- Communication was affected.
- People were separated from one another.
- Church gatherings were dramatically affected.
- And the voice of the Church was, in many places, significantly diminished.

From a prophetic perspective, one can look back and see an extraordinary parallel:

And perhaps Moses gives us another question to consider.

If Moses was 80 when God sent him to Pharaoh to say:

could there also be a prophetic call upon the Church in this generation to recover its voice?

- Not necessarily as a political slogan.
- Not as a call to hostility.

But as a prophetic declaration concerning freedom, truth, righteousness and God's purposes.

Perhaps the Church needs to hear again:

so....
- There may be people who cannot speak for themselves.
- There may be people who have lost their voice.
- There may be people who are afraid to speak.
- There may be people who need someone to stand in the gap.

The Church is called to be a

And pastors and leaders cannot continually assume that somebody else will speak.

We are called to equip the people we shepherd to understand that they too have a voice.

The strength of that voice, however, does not necessarily come from everyone saying everything they think.

It comes when the Body of Christ learns to stand together around truth.

And perhaps this is one of the questions 5787 places before us:

The Hebrew letter Pey is associated with the number ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ and is connected with the mouth.

The decade therefore carries a powerful symbolic emphasis on:
โ€ข speech
โ€ข communication
โ€ข declarations
โ€ข prophetic utterance
โ€ข testimony
โ€ข prayer
โ€ข worship
โ€ข proclaiming God's Word
โ€ข the responsibility attached to what we say

This is both an opportunity and a warning.

Because the mouth can build โ€” but it can also destroy.

It can release faith โ€” but it can also release fear.

It can speak truth โ€” but it can also speak deception.

The question is therefore not simply:

The deeper question is:

Scripture makes it very clear that words matter.

Proverbs 18:21 says:

James 3 reminds us that the tongue, although small, can have enormous influence. It compares the tongue to a fire and warns us about the destructive potential of words.

Jesus also taught that:
โ€” Matthew 12:37

The mouth can therefore become a battlefield.

It can:
โ€ข bless or curse
โ€ข speak life or death
โ€ข encourage or discourage
โ€ข unite or divide
โ€ข heal or wound
โ€ข proclaim truth or spread deception

Proverbs 12:18 says:

What a remarkable connection when we consider ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿด๐Ÿณ โ€” Pey and Zayin โ€” the mouth and the sword.

Our mouths can become instruments of either construction or destruction.

Therefore, 5787 may be calling us to greater responsibility concerning what we say.

Perhaps one of the strongest themes emerging from this entire reflection is ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต.

In a generation filled with competing voices, information, opinions, accusations, narratives and counter-narratives, the Church must become increasingly discerning about what it speaks.

The prophetic voice cannot simply become another loud voice in the crowd.

It must be a voice that carries truth.

This means asking:
Is what I am saying true?
Is it consistent with God's Word?
Am I speaking from revelation or reaction?
Am I speaking from conviction or emotion?
Am I repeating information that I have not verified?
Am I building faith or spreading fear?
Am I speaking because God has given me something to say, or simply because I have an opinion?

There is a difference between ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐˜† and ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—š๐—ผ๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐˜†.

The prophetic voice must therefore be accompanied by:
โ€ข discernment
โ€ข humility
โ€ข wisdom
โ€ข accountability
โ€ข integrity
โ€ข responsibility

The greater the influence of our voice, the greater the responsibility attached to it.

The battle surrounding the mouth is not only about whether we speak.

It is also about

During this 80s decade, we have witnessed an extraordinary multiplication of voices.

Some voices have brought:
โ€ข truth
โ€ข encouragement
โ€ข hope
โ€ข prayer
โ€ข prophetic insight
โ€ข worship

But other voices have brought:
โ€ข fear
โ€ข division
โ€ข accusation
โ€ข misinformation
โ€ข hatred
โ€ข confusion

The same mouth can therefore become an instrument of either God's purposes or destructive purposes.

This is why discernment is so important.

- We cannot simply react to every voice.
- We must learn to listen.
- We must learn to test.
- We must learn to discern.

And above all, we must return to the Word of God.

The number ๐Ÿณ carries a strong biblical association with completion, fullness and divine order.

In the Hebrew prophetic picture, Zayin, associated with 7, is also connected with the imagery of a ๐˜€๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ.

So we arrive at another significant picture:

๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ โ€” the mouth

๐Ÿณ โ€” the sword

๐Ÿด๐Ÿณ โ€” the mouth and the sword

The mouth speaks.

The sword represents God's Word.

Ephesians 6:17 speaks of:

This makes the connection particularly powerful.

What comes out of our mouths must therefore be brought into alignment with God's Word.

And this brings us to another remarkable observation concerning 5787.

This is a Hebrew leap year of ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฑ days.

When reduced numerically:

๐Ÿฏ + ๐Ÿด + ๐Ÿฑ = ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฒ

and:

๐Ÿญ + ๐Ÿฒ = ๐Ÿณ

Again, the number ๐Ÿณ appears.

There is also the observation that this Hebrew year begins with Shabbat and ends with Shabbat.

The year begins with Shabbat.
The year ends with Shabbat.

This creates a beautiful picture of completion โ€” beginning where it ends, and ending where it began.

It reminds us of the God who is

Everything begins with Him, and ultimately everything returns to Him.

And perhaps there is another message within that:

One of the strongest impressions emerging from this entire reflection is the call to ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ป.

Jesus said in John 15:4:

- Before we build ministries, we abide.
- Before we lead people, we abide.
- Before we speak prophetically, we abide.
- Before we make declarations, we abide.
- Before we confront the world around us, we return to the presence of God.

The danger of the prophetic is that we can become so focused on what we have to say that we forget the importance of where the word comes from.

The mouth must remain connected to the source.

This becomes particularly significant when we consider what is currently happening around the Church in South Africa.

There has been growing discussion and concern around the work and recommendations associated with the CRL Rights Commission and questions concerning the regulation and accountability of religious organisations.

The government is trying to silence the Church is a factual statement that requires careful consideration of the actual developments and proposals involved.

But prophetically, the question becomes deeper:

Whatever one's position may be concerning regulation, accountability or government involvement, the Church needs to understand the value of its voice.

There is a growing need for the Church to:
โ€ข understand the value of its voice
โ€ข guard its freedom to speak
โ€ข use that voice responsibly
โ€ข use that voice courageously
โ€ข speak truth without fear
โ€ข remain accountable before God

The answer is not to become politically aggressive.

And this is where the prophetic picture of Moses becomes particularly relevant.

Moses was not sent to Pharaoh to start a political campaign.

He was sent with a word.

Perhaps the Church in South Africa needs to rediscover the courage to speak when it is necessary to speak.

Not every issue requires confrontation.

Not every disagreement requires a public response.

But there are moments when silence is no longer appropriate.

The Church must know when to speak.

And when it speaks, it must speak with:

The prophetic Church cannot only speak for itself.

It must also speak for those who have no voice.

Proverbs 31:8 says:

This is an important biblical responsibility.

We are not called to use our voices simply to defend our own interests.

We are called to stand for truth and righteousness.

This means that pastors and leaders should not merely speak themselves, but should God's people to recognise their own responsibility and voice.

The Church is not supposed to be silent.

But neither is it supposed to be reckless.

- A prophetic voice is courageous without becoming aggressive.
- It is bold without becoming arrogant.
- It is truthful without becoming abusive.
- It is united without demanding uniformity.

Perhaps this is one of the most important lessons for the Church in this season.

- We do not have to agree on everything to stand together.
- We can have different denominations.
- Different traditions.
- Different approaches.
- Different theological emphases.
- Different personalities.

And yet still recognise that we are part of one Body.

Unity does not require that we agree with one another on everything.

But unity requires that we learn to trust one another enough to stand together where it matters.

The prophetic picture of ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐˜ƒ๐—ผ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ does not necessarily mean everyone speaks exactly the same words.

It means that the Body of Christ can stand together around foundational truth.

If the prophetic significance of this decade is connected to the mouth, then it should not surprise us that the mouth would also become a place of conflict.

The enemy seeks to:
โ€ข silence
โ€ข intimidate
โ€ข divide
โ€ข confuse
โ€ข discredit
โ€ข accuse
โ€ข distort
โ€ข discourage

so...
- Sometimes the attack comes externally.
- Sometimes it comes through circumstances.
- Sometimes it comes through people.
- Sometimes it comes through conflict within the Church.
- And sometimes it comes through our own families, marriages, businesses and personal relationships.

The attack may begin with something small.

But if it is allowed to grow, it can become something much larger.

This is why spiritual discernment is necessary.

One thing I have learned through years of pastoral ministry and counselling, and through being taught by many great prophetic and spiritual leaders, is that opposition does not always arrive where we expect it.

When people begin moving into alignment with God, the Church begins moving into alignment, or a person begins bringing their personal life into greater alignment with God's purposes, resistance can appear.

It may manifest through:
โ€ข conflict
โ€ข misunderstanding
โ€ข division
โ€ข discouragement
โ€ข family pressure
โ€ข marital tension
โ€ข financial difficulties
โ€ข ministry conflict
โ€ข relational breakdown
โ€ข unexpected opposition

The enemy may attempt to find the smallest or weakest point and use it to attack the larger picture.

That is why we should not always look at an isolated problem and assume that the problem itself is the entire issue.

Sometimes what appears to be a small conflict may become a doorway to something much greater.

We therefore need to watch and pray.

This is one of the questions I believe deserves serious consideration.

When people experience opposition, their first question is often:

- โ€œWhy am I being attacked?โ€
- โ€œWhy is my family going through this?โ€
- โ€œWhy is my ministry under pressure?โ€
- โ€œWhy are things becoming so difficult?โ€

Those are understandable questions.

But perhaps there is another question we should learn to ask in prayer:

This does not mean that every difficulty is automatically caused by the enemy.

Nor does it mean that we should refuse correction when correction is needed.

Instead, it invites us to examine the situation positively and prayerfully.

Ask:
What has changed in my life?
Where am I becoming more obedient?
Where am I coming into alignment?
What has God been asking me to do?
What has recently become stronger?
Where have I begun standing for truth?
What am I doing that is producing spiritual fruit?

Sometimes the very area experiencing resistance may be an area where God is bringing significant growth.

Instead of immediately asking:

perhaps we should sometimes ask:

- If we are going to speak, we must be prepared for resistance.
- If we are going to stand for truth, we must expect that truth will sometimes be challenged.
- If we are going to move into alignment with God's purposes, we should understand that opposition can come.

The enemy will not necessarily be satisfied when the Church becomes:
โ€ข more united
โ€ข more prayerful
โ€ข more discerning
โ€ข more obedient
โ€ข more courageous
โ€ข more aligned with God's Word

Therefore, spiritual preparation is essential.

Ephesians 6 reminds us to put on the

We need:
โ€ข truth
โ€ข righteousness
โ€ข faith
โ€ข salvation
โ€ข the Word of God
โ€ข prayer
โ€ข perseverance

We cannot fight spiritual battles using merely human weapons.

The Church must learn to recognise when the battle is spiritual and respond spiritually.

And here we return to ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿด๐Ÿณ.

๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐˜† โ€” the mouth.

๐—ญ๐—ฎ๐˜†๐—ถ๐—ป โ€” the sword.

The picture is not simply about speaking.

It is about ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—š๐—ผ๐—ฑ'๐˜€ ๐—ช๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ.

A mouth without truth can become destructive.

A sword without wisdom can become destructive.

But when the mouth is aligned with God's Word, our declarations, prayers, testimony and proclamation can become instruments of faith, encouragement and truth.

The question therefore becomes:

Will they carry:

โ€ข negativity or hope?

Perhaps the greatest message within all of this is not simply:

Perhaps it is:

- Return to the Word.
- Return to prayer.
- Return to worship.
- Return to the presence of God.
- Return to truth.

- Return to unity.

Because before we can speak correctly, we must first learn to abide correctly.

- Perhaps 5787 is not simply about what God is going to do.
- Perhaps it is also about what He is asking ๐˜‚๐˜€ to do.
- Perhaps He is calling His people to:
โ€ข guard their mouths
โ€ข guard their hearts

โ€ข stand for righteousness
โ€ข protect unity
โ€ข refuse unnecessary division
โ€ข encourage the voiceless
โ€ข equip the next generation
โ€ข prepare spiritually for opposition
โ€ข remain faithful when challenged

And perhaps, above all, He is asking us:

5787 presents us with a remarkable collection of prophetic pictures.

๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ โ€” the mouth.

๐Ÿณ โ€” the sword.

๐Ÿด๐Ÿณ โ€” the mouth and the sword.

๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฑ days โ€” reducing to 7.

Beginning with Shabbat.

Ending with Shabbat.

- Beginning.

A complete circle.

And perhaps the invitation is simple:

Perhaps we should ask:

- Will we bring fear?
- Or faith?
- Division?
- Or unity?
- Opinion?
- Or truth?
- Reaction?
- Or revelation?
- Silence?
- Or a courageous, responsible voice?

May our mouths become instruments of:

Then
- May we learn to distinguish between our opinions and God's Word.
- May we have the courage to speak when we need to speak, and the wisdom to remain silent when silence is required.
- May we stand together without demanding uniformity.
- May we become a voice for those who cannot speak.
- May we protect the freedom to proclaim God's Word responsibly and courageously.

And when resistance comes, may we not immediately ask:

but also prayerfully consider:

Above all, may we remember:

And may everything we say flow from the One who is our beginning and our end.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Raphah Ministries will Continue....

Following the recent passing of our beloved founder, Dr/Pastor Gerd D. Luus, Raphah Ministries remains steadfast in its God-given calling as an alms ministry, continuing to extend practical care, counselling, outreach, missionary services and compassion to those in need throughout Newcastle and the surrounding communities within a 37-km radius, just as it has faithfully done for the past 18 years.

While some aspects of our ministry may be adjusted in light of Dr/Pastor Gerd D. Luus' passing, our core mission and services will continue. Where necessary, trusted pastors and ministry partners will assist in providing certain services to ensure that the ministry continues to serve our community with excellence and integrity.

Pastor Sonja Luus (co-founder) will now continue leading and managing the ministry with faith, dedication and the support of Raphah's Executive Board.

We humbly ask for your continued prayers, encouragement and support.

If you feel led to partner with Raphah Ministries through your time, resources, practical assistance or financial giving, you will be helping us continue reaching lives, caring for those in need and building God's Kingdom in our community.

A WARNING FOR SOUTH AFRICA:
By Sarah Jubilee

Yeshua showed me many things about the New Jerusalem, tribulation, rapture, Armageddon and then He said: โ€œBefore these things come to pass, you will face dark times as the beginning of sorrows.

In South Africa you will see My fire and I will let the fire go from South Africa to the rest of the world but violence will break out, many more will be killed. There will be bloodshed. Pray that you do escape these things.

There will be many victims, but I want My people to war against it in the spirit through forgiving and petitioning and standing in the gap. I want you to look past the people, I want you to look to Me, otherwise you will not be able to forgive.

You fight the battle of racism in this country. DO NOT built that altar, it will kill you, do not give racism a place in your gates. My people, repent of the sin of racism in your bloodline. The things in this country will worsen, poverty will increase. Many will loose what they have, many will not be able to provide for their basic needs because everything will be too expensive.

You will have to pay a large amount of money for water, electricity and petrol. Do not spend your money on things that are unnecessary now, save your money but get out of the Babylonian system because I tell you, you will loose what you have if you are in the wrong kingdom. Money will loose itโ€™s value, life supply will become more important because it will be the only way for you to survive.

I tell you these things, because My bride will go through the beginning of sorrows before I gather you, before the great
tribulation. I also tell you because of those who will be left behind, they will face these things and will have to go through it before I come again.

DO NOT FEAR, MY PEOPLE!
I do not send out this message so that you must fear. However, I send out this message so that you will prepare your heart as My bride, so that you can come out of Babylon, so that it will not effect you so that you can escape these things like Noah escaped the flood, Like Lot and his family escaped the judgment against S***m and Gomorrah and like Ragab escaped from Jericho. My people, I always save a remnant, I separate a remnant because they are faithful.

Guard you hearts against racism, unforgiveness, hatred and anger because you will face violence, bloodshed, murder, and corruption.

If you give a place for the serpent you will likewise perish.

It is now time for My people to learn from Stephen, I give you the key of Stephen, it is for now and for those who will be left behind (Acts 7:54-60).

I AM the Judge, let Me Judge for there is nothing My eyes do not see, do not give revenge a place because I will judge those who sin against Me. Put on love and forgive.

Pray for your government, because when I look, My heartbecomes angered. Pray that you will escape My judgment that will come upon this nation.

Repent of sexual sin and perversity (homosexuality), racism, rebellion, disobedience, hypocrisyโ€ฆ My people, open your eyes - water spirits are corrupting this country because it was given legal ground through pride and racism.

The battle you fight is against water spirits because they cry out for blood.
Do not be ignorant.
I AM giving an instruction to My people, to those who are willing to obey Me. To those who live on the coast of South-Africa, I want to see a people in every town around the coast that petition, to claim back that ground which water spirits are possessing.

I want you to repent and break down their altar, through My blood. Blow the horn and declare My words. It is time for the men of war to stand up, stop speaking death and address the issues in the natural and start preparing for battle to stand against the principalities and keep the enemy out of the gates of your city.

Behold, I have given YOU the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Be bold, nothing will by any means hurt you.

Stand up and take up your authority in Meโ€ฆ let Me not blow the trumpet for everyone to get ready for battle, but then no one goes into battle.
Ezekiel 6.

CALL FOR DONATIONS: GLASS BOTTLES NEEDED

Raphah Ministries is a full-time outreach and missionary ministry dedicated to serving and uplifting our community through practical support and compassion.

As part of our ongoing food outreach programme, we prepare and distribute nourishing items such as soups, jams and other preserved foods to those in need.

To continue this work, we are in urgent need of empty glass bottles and jars of all shapes and sizes, with their lids.

Your donated bottles will be cleaned, sterilised and reused to safely store and distribute food to individuals and families within our community.

How you can help:
Donate any clean, empty glass bottles or jars
Spread the word to friends, family and local businesses
Support a sustainable initiative that reduces waste while feeding those in need

Every bottle you give helps us extend our reach and serve more people with dignity and care.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference โ€” one bottle, one meal, one life at a time.

Thank you for your support.
