TWO CONGREGATIONS PRAISING GOD IN ONENESS AND WITH PURPOSE

Thursday 18th June the choir of Eastridge 3 and 4 gathered for the choir practice. This in preparation for the visit of Apostle Bradley Bourne and upcoming divine services.

Some of the congregants of Eastridge 3 was always in attendance at our congregation since their building suffered damages with the recent storm, so our Rector warmly welcomed them to also participate in the activities.

Rector of Eastridge 4 Jeremiah Harris was also in attendance. He expressed his gratitude to the choir for the sacrifice and dedication to God's work and moving the hearts of the congregants with the warm music in every divine service. He then concluded the choir practice in prayer.

IN THE HANDS OF OUR GOOD GOD

Sunday 14th June
Sunday school divine service by Rector Jeremiah Harris.

Bible text rooted in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Message
God thinks about us and gives us a future and a hope.

Summary
- God thinks about each of us personally and lovingly.
- His thoughts are thoughts of peace.
- God not only grants us a future here on earth but also promises eternal fellowship with Him.
- the hope God gives strengthens us and gives us courage.

After service the children received some refreshments and took pictures with their class and teaches.

Thursday evening 7pm the choir gathered for practice in preparation for future divine services and the visit of Apostle Bradley Bourne. The congregants of Er3 were also in attendance adding to the joy, praising God together in song.

Monday evening we held a meeting with the parents and confirmands who are set to be confirmed in 2027.

The purpose of introducing the Onboarding of Confirmands is to ensure a smooth transition from Sunday School into the ranks of the Young People (YP). This initiative not only aims to ease this transition but also to broaden the confirmands’ knowledge and deepen their understanding of what takes place within the YP ranks. In addition, it strengthened their understanding of their faith, our mission, and the roles of our ministers. It also highlighted how they can actively spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ both within the House of the Lord and in the wider community.
The presenters covered three key topics:

Onboarding of Confirmands (an introductory session)
My Mission & Church Influence
My Ministers & Me

As part of the programme, the YPL and YPLA conducted interviews with two ministers to provide the confirmands with valuable insight and perspective from a minister’s point of view.

The confirmands and parents were then divided into two groups, assisted by the Sunday School Coordinator and the Confirmation Teacher. Various questions were discussed within these groups, encouraging meaningful engagement and interaction.
The evening concluded with a prayer and fellowship.
