The blessing of the triune God
On the fifth Sunday, May 31, 2026, Divine Service was conducted by our Rector, Community Evangelist Jerry Mentor. He called Priest Deon Geduldt to assist him at the altar.
The text was read from 2 Corinthians 13:14 (NKJV)
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Message
The work and activity of the triune God are expressed in the closing benediction of the divine service.
Summary
β The Trinitarian benediction is a powerful divine promise.
β The blessing is addressed first and
foremost to us personally. Yet it must also have an impact on those around us.
β The blessing of God encourages us to live our lives as true Christians.
Before the serving of Holy Communion, the Act of Holy Baptism for 18 adults and children and 1 Adoption of an adult Sister was performed welcoming them into the faith.
The choir concluded the Divine Service with a stirring rendition of Hymn Collection 54, Joyfully Singing, bringing the service to a joyful and uplifting close.
Furthermore the young people of our congregation participated in Serving Christ initiative this morning assisting in ushering, choir singing and other duties.
