Good morning, here is today's prayer...
Dear lord Jesus, You taught Your disciples on the mountain and said to them…… “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” – Matthew 5:8

Dear Lord, as I meditate on this verse, I can not help to think of Your servant Moses, who wanted to see Your glory (Exodus 33:18) but You said….. “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” – Exodus 33:20.

Lord, what we can only see for now is what You also told Moses he can see…. “And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence.” – Exodus 33:19.
Lord, we can see Your goodness around us every day of our lives. Your name, the Lord, is proclaimed to us every single day.

Yet, dear Lord, when I think of Moses, I tremble at the thought that not even the faithful Moses was allowed to see Your face. Not even he, was pure at heart.
Lord, I pray to You today to search my heart, to reveal my evil to myself and to cleanse me through the blood of Christ.

Lord, I know that You can do this for we know from Matthew 17:3 that You did it for Moses as he appeared along with Elijah at the Transfiguration of Christ thus implying that he is in Your holy presence. Lord Jesus, You also promise that when You come again Your people will see Your face….. “No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.” – Revelation 22:3-4

Lord Jesus, You saying…. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God”….. says to me that my heart needs to be pure before I can be in Your holy presence. I need to be cleansed of my sin and therefore, I thank You that You have already done it, that You have already cleansed me and my brothers and sisters in Christ, with Your holy and pure blood.

Lord, I pray that You will continue Your work in sanctifying us to the pureness required to see Your face.

Good morning, here is today's prayer...
Dear lord Jesus, You taught Your disciples on the mountain and said to them…… “
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” – Matthew 5:7

Dear Father God, one of the divine attributes of Your nature is that You are a merciful God. As Your servant Paul wrote….. “He is “rich in mercy” – Ephesians 2:4. Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, taught us that we should also be merciful.

Father, I thank You for Your divine mercy which is defined as….. “The gift of God’s undeserved kindness and compassion.” I thank You for the pardon of human sin through the work of Your Son.

Dear Lord, You call us to be merciful but there are so many dimensions to the meaning of the word mercy. Lord, I pray that I can serve You by showing others compassion, lovingkindness, favour and steadfast love.

Lord, I pray that I can be merciful by forgiving others, showing kindness and helping those in need, even when they do not deserve it, just as we did not deserve Your mercy.

Lord, as Your people we are called to practice mercy so that the Father may be glorified. My Your Holy Spirit empower me and my brothers and sisters in Christ, so that we can truly be merciful. And as we show mercy to others, we thank You Lord that we are blessed by You, pouring out Your mercy over us.

Good morning, here is today's prayer...
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your unending mercy, grace and love.
Let me abide in the words of Jesus...
If you abide in My word,
you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32

Jesus, You are the Truth and I will follow You every day of my life.
Each morning when I rise, let Your name and Your praise be the first words uttered from my mouth.
Help me to continually choose You above all else.
Sometimes I let other things influence my life---money, status, pleasure, success.
I come to You now, praising Your name and asking for Your forgiveness.

Please make me new today...
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
the new creation has come:
The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Lord, may Your Holy Spirit work within me and equip me with Your strength to overcome all temptations.
There are no chains that You cannot break, no obstacles that You cannot overcome.
You are my loving Heavenly Father and I owe everything to You.

Good morning, here is today's prayer...
Dear Father God,
You give the Bread of God, Your precious son Jesus, to every person in the world.
For the bread of God
is He who comes down from heaven
and gives life to the world. John 6:33

You are the hope for the hopeless and You are unwavering in Your love for me.
Lord, I lift up all the anxiety that I am harbouring, the worries of providing for my needs and the feelings of inadequacy that can arise.
I pray that You would take my burdens from me and give me new hope in You.

Please help me to trust You, and let me release to You all of my worries and stress...
Be anxious for nothing,
but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Please fill me with Your indescribable joy and strength for this new year.
Great are You Lord, in You I trust.
I will no longer be filled with fear and anxiety. I will look to You for all things.

Good morning, here is today's prayer...
Dear Lord God,
Thank You for the ways that You have blessed and guided me throughout my life.

I look to my past to remember that You have been faithful in guiding and blessing me all the days of my life...
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Psalm 23

Today, I lift up my deepest needs to You my Lord and I place them in Your capable hands, trusting You with all that I am.
I will wait upon You Lord, listening for Your Voice.

Dear Father in Heaven,
I need Your peace in my life today.

I desire Jesus' promise to give me peace...

Thank You for Your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding...
Be anxious for nothing,

Please bring Your peace today into the world, into my country, into my community, into my home and into my heart.

Good morning, here is today's prayer...
Dear Father God,
Truly blessed are those who share the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Hope of Glory...
How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7

I pray for and bless every Christian who shares Your love and Your gift of life with others.
I pray for protection and blessing upon their lives.
I pray that You will give each of us the words that You want us to speak.
I ask that You would encourage me by Your Holy Spirit to speak Your words at the right times, at the right places and to the right people, as Jesus taught...

For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say. Luke 12:12

Through Your power and my witness, please help me Share Jesus Without Fear with the people around me so they will know that You are God and that You love them.

Let every person I encounter today be encouraged and blessed by your love and grace.
And through my life, may You be glorified and may others be brought to You.

Good morning, here is today's prayer...
Dear Lord God,
Please use me today and guide me so that I will have the mind of Christ in all I do. I Corinthians 2:16

Help me to not do anything out of selfish ambition or conceit...
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition
or conceit, but in lowliness of mind
let each esteem others better than himself.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests,
but also for the interests of others.
Let this mind be in you
which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:3-5

Please help me to remain humble and to never consider myself better than others...
Yes, all of you be submissive to one another,
and be clothed with humility,
for “God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.” I Peter 5:5

Please provide me with the means and the desire to look after the interests of others as well as my own interests. Philippians 2:4

I pray that I will have a godly attitude in all of my actions and decisions, and that Your love will flow through me to serve and reach others in Your name.
May I be a blessing to You and to everyone around me today.

I truly desire to fulfil Your two great commandments today and everyday...
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40

Dear Father God,
You are the Almighty God who sent His only Son Jesus who is Mighty in Deed and Word...
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Thank you, Father God, for your great love and that Jesus came to love us, not to condemn us...
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17

You are Mighty to save, Mighty to heal, Mighty to provide, Mighty to redeem, Mighty to love...
The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

You are mighty and more than worthy of my worship...
You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7

Thank You for Your Mighty arms that carry me, love me, discipline me, protect me, catch me, lift me…and are always stretched out to embrace me...
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. I Peter 5:6-7

Dear Father God,
Thank You that You are always with me, as Jesus promised.....I am with you always,

Thank You Lord Jesus that you have taught us so that we should not stumble and fall...
These things I have spoken to you,
that you should not be made to stumble. John 16:1

I praise You as I begin this new day.
You are my rescuer and the one who loves me more than anyone, as Paul wrote...
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love... Colossians 1:13

I bow before You in prayer, with a humble spirit and a grateful heart.

As Paul encouraged Timothy, I pray for all people, and for all who are in authority...
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
‭ 1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭2‬

You are my stability in a world full of stress.
You are my comfort when my heart is sad.
You are the sunshine that brightens each day.

I thank You and I worship You today, and I exalt You with my brothers and sisters in Christ around the world...
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10
