Free From... — Episode 10: Freedom From Turmoil

Many people would say that what they desire most in life is happiness, peace and freedom.

As believers, God has given us all three.

Isaiah 53:5 says that the chastisement for our peace was upon Jesus. He was physically punished on the cross so that we could experience peace.

Because of what Christ has done, we do not need to live afraid of God, uncertain of our salvation, or restless in our hearts.

His peace brings assurance, security and rest to the soul.

May His peace descend on your soul today as you remember that you are highly favoured and deeply loved of God.

Are you living free? 🤍

It’s easy to say we’ve been set free, but sometimes we still live as though we have something to prove.

Galatians reminds us that our freedom isn’t something we have to earn, it’s something Christ has already made possible. 🙏

So this Friday, take a moment to ask yourself:

Are you living from grace, or striving for approval?
Are you trusting God, or trying to control everything?
Are you walking in freedom, or carrying things Christ has already set you free from?

Christ has called us to freedom. Let’s walk in it. 🙌

Free From... — Episode 7: Freedom From the Record

Colossians 2:13–14 speaks about a record of debt that stood against us.

Sin has consequences. What may appear harmless in the moment can eventually bring destruction into our lives, relationships and circumstances.

But the good news of the cross is that Jesus dealt with the debt we could not deal with ourselves.

He took the record that stood against us and nailed it to the cross.

So when guilt tries to remind you of past mistakes, you can look to Jesus and remember that the debt has already been dealt with.

We do not have to continually rehearse the failures that Christ has already taken care of.

The record has been cancelled.

Always remember, you are highly favoured and deeply loved.

Free From... — Episode 6: Freedom From the Old Life

Imagine working for the same boss for twenty years. Every morning you respond to his instructions.

Then one day you leave the company. You have a new job, a new boss and a completely new life.

The next morning your old boss phones. His voice is familiar, and something inside you feels that you still need to respond — until you remember: "I don't work for you anymore."

Romans 6:6 tells us that our old self was crucified with Christ.

The habits, struggles and patterns of our old life may still try to call us back, but they no longer have the authority they once had.

Through God's grace, we can walk in freedom from our old life and live from the new identity we have received in Christ.

The old boss may still phone — but you don't have to answer.

You are free.

Always remember, you are highly favoured and deeply loved.

God’s promise is yes and amen. 🙏

But what do we do when we’re holding onto a promise from God, yet the waiting feels longer than we expected?

Why hasn’t it manifested yet?
Why does it feel like it’s taking so long?

In Galatians 4, Paul uses the story of Abraham, Hagar and Sarah to unpack what it means to receive the promises of God — and it has everything to do with who your spiritual mother is.

Have you ever found yourself asking, “Lord, I know Your promise… but why am I still waiting?”

Free From... — Episode 5: Freedom From Fear

Fear can become a form of bo***ge in our lives.

We can fear the future, the unknown, other people, or circumstances we cannot control. Yet throughout Scripture, we repeatedly hear God say, “Do not be afraid.”

1 John 4:18 tells us that there is no fear in love, because perfect love casts out fear.

God’s love is greater than every fear we face.

So ask yourself today: Where am I afraid? Where do I need the love of God to become more real in my heart?

Whatever you are facing, Jesus stands before you and says, “Do not be afraid.”

You can walk free from fear.

Always remember, you are highly favoured and deeply loved.
