Rastafari did need a voice and with clear perspectives we engaged with different institutions. House of Judah collaborating with SAN Parks, Knysna Municipality managing an Eco-Cultural Trail. And in 2012 we signed a lease to start a nursery for medicinal plants. This year at the Knysna Oyster Festival a South African Company based in Durban sponsored by the Marley Coffee Company planted 10 indigenous trees at the House of Judah Educare.
In 2007 we were also awarded as an Emerging Tourism Partner. Knysna Tourism markets us as part of the Living Local brand as and cultural experience.
Through engagement with the Knysna Education trust 5 sisters were trained and empowered to run our House of Judah Educare.
The House of Judah is very upbeat about the CLR document; although we are not politically involved we act as advisors to the world that this is our livethi’ Rastafari is our Heritage.
To conclude should I&I not exult in the consideration that the House of Judah at the extremity of the globe almost at its south pole became the morning star to enlighten the nations of the earth and conduct them out of the shades of darkness into the realms of light One Jah, One Aim, One Destiny
