Sermon Update
Scripture: 2 Kings 4:1–8
A widow came to the prophet and said, "The debt collectors are coming to take my sons and make them slaves because my husband, who feared the Lord, owed them money."
This teaches us that fearing God does not exempt us from challenges in life. You can fear the Lord and still face difficulties. However, those challenges will never defeat you because God will always provide a solution. He appoints His servants to bring direction and answers into our lives.
The prophet asked the widow, "What shall I do for you? What do you have in your house?" She replied, "Your servant has nothing there at all except a small jar of olive oil."
The prophet instructed her to go and borrow empty jars from her neighbours. She obeyed the instruction, and as she poured the oil, every jar was filled.
Prophets carry divine instructions that bring solutions. They come with the anointing to fill what is empty until there is overflow. Through obedience to God's instructions, lack is turned into abundance.
Today, as an apostle of the Lord, I am sending you to your solution. You are no longer going back to your problem. Just as Prophet Elisha directed the widow to her solution, God is directing you to your breakthrough.
The Bible says that the oil stopped only when there were no more empty jars. It never says that the woman stopped pouring. This means that if there had been more empty jars, the oil would have continued to flow.
Therefore, as long as there are empty jars in your life, the oil will continue to pour. As long as there is a need, God has more than enough to supply. May every empty area of your life be filled by the power and provision of God, in Jesus' Name.
