TWO OF JOHN THE BAPTIST DISCIPLES BECAME JESUS CHRIST DISCIPLES.

JOHN 1:35-42,
Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God!"
The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, "What do you seek?"
They said to Him, "Rabbi" (Which is to say, when translated, Teacher), "where do You staying?"
He said to them, "Come and see." They came and sae where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).
One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him," We have found the Messiah" (which is translated the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus.
Now when Jesus looked at him He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas(which translated, A Stone).

Brethren, John the Baptist job was to point Israelites to the savior Christ Jesus. And we can see that his two disciples followed our Lord Jesus Christ, although John himself did not do likewise.

MALACHI 4:5, Says i will send Elijah the prophet to prepare the way for the Lord.
LUKE 1:17, The Bible says John the Baptist will have the spirit of Prophet Elijah.
MATTHEW 11:14, Jesus said John the Baptist is Elijah who was to come.
MATTHEW 17 :12, Jesus said Elijah came and they killed him.

My fellow Saints, the above Scriptures points to John the Baptist as Elijah the prophet. But when the priests from the Pharisees came from Jerusalem to ask John in the book of JOHN 1:21, he denied that he is not Elijah.
The question is why did John the Baptist denied?
The answer is that John the Baptist was scared that if he will reveal himself, they might kill him before the appointed time.
The mission of John the Baptist was to prepare the way for the Lord.
But also to show the Jewish people to Christ that He is the savior the "Coming One" the Messiah.
His job was to baptize the Israelites with water for sin repentance, although the Pharisees, scribes, Sadducees, chief priests and Elders rejected the baptism of John because of ignorance.
John the Baptist also baptize our Lord Jesus Christ not for sin repentance but to fulfill righteousness.

According to the Bible. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, love your neighbor as yourself. The word neighbor according to the dictionary means the person next to you. But according to the Bible the word neighbor means someone who helps you when you need help. That's the correct answer meaning of the word neighbor, from our Lord Jesus Christ, when you read the book of LUKE 10:35-37.

MATTHEW CHAPTER 26 VERSE 52.
But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
My fellow Saints, these are the prophecy from our Lord Jesus christ, He was speaking to the generation of the old testament people who were natural people, they were not born again, by that time it was before his death, buried and resurrection and this prophecy was a mystery to them. Remember during that time people were not using guns or missiles but they were using swords, therefore Jesus statement simply meant the dispensation of the swords. Our Lord Jesus prophecy came true when all that generation which He was talking to died by the swords, when Roman emperor by the name Constantine destroyed the city of Jerusalem in 70AD. Jesus prophecy about the death of that generation, that's why He said to them that, those who live by the sword will die by the sword.
My fellow Saints these words in our dispensation we can use them by saying that those who live by guns will die by guns or those who live by the pandemic will die by the pandemic or those who live by drugs will die by drugs, if we want to understand clearly using human wisdom.
If Jesus said those who live by the sword will die by the sword it does not mean that if you have a knife or a sword in your house you will die through those. But our Lord Jesus christ was talking about the dispensation of the sword, people will be killed by the sword.
