Theme: Are You Fearing God? ( part two).

Text For Today: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 NKJV
[13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. [14] For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.

If am to browse for wise counsel or advice on an important subject such as life, from anyone, for the way forward, my take should be from the best.
Solomon, the writer of Ecclesiastes, king of Israel and one reputable for being the wisest man on earth then and now. After giving all due diligence and consideration of activities that man should consider of utmost importance earth, concludes by saying; " FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMAND " is it.

My friend, placing the fear of God as top principle for doing life, secures the following qualities of life for you;
1. Character
2. Accountability
3. Dedication
4. Focus
5. Reliability
6. Dependability
7. Honesty
8. Consistency
9. Fearlessness
10. Truthfulness

Fear of God is reverential awe and respect for Him. One who truely respect God will definitely respect and honour his fellow man, check this out with people within your circles.

He is not only loving and personal but a holy and just God. Proverbs 14:27 NKJV
[27] The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.

We face snares daily that could endanger or end our lives, but fear of God is the fountain of life for the believer to escape them. Do you now see reason Solomon rate fear of God as the mighty ultimate for man.

Theme: Are You Fearing God? ( part one)

Text For Today: Jeremiah 32:39-40 NKJV
[39] then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. [40] And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.

If I may ask, why do you think we should fear God? I asked my wife, Blessed, this same question and she said: Fearing God is our way of honouring Him.

I believe, the reason we should fear God May be because,apart from honouring Him, there are benefits to us for fearing Him. Looking at our text above,we see that God wants to do us good and promises He will not turn away from us and our generations.

Let us see reason why we should fear God:

1. The fear of God is the fountain of life for the believer. Proverbs 22:4, it says that the fear of God along with humility leads us to wealth and honour. In Psalm 111:10, says that it gives us skill in life and provides wisdom. A healthy respect and fear of God is the key to blessed life.

2. The fear of God builds faithfulness and trustworthiness into our lives. That passage in Jeremiah tells us that fear of God has been riveted into our souls by the Holy Spirit to keep us faithful. The true test of our faithfulness is found in what you do when no one is watching. What would you do when no one is looking?

3. God fulfills the desire of those who fear Him. Psalm 145:19, He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him. He will also hear their cry and save them. Fearing God does not only keep me from sin but it also leads me out of trouble.

Theme: Zero Fear-God Is In Control.

Text For Today: Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV
[6] Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; [7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Every time we disobey The Word, we find ourselves in the opposite of God's will and purpose for our lives.

In the Bible, it's amazing that God used the word "fear not", about 360 times or more. Meaning that, for every single day of our lives on earth, there's one "FEAR NOT". Isaiah 35:4

Because we think God didn't really meant it, we still go about doing the following out of fear!

1. We become overwhelmed with fear for security and begin to do what we can to find our security; buy life insurance, provides fire alarms systems, build bigger walls and buy bigger padlocks.

2. We procrastinate and put off decisions we know we should make for some unreasonable fears.

3. We begin to build artificial barriers to prevent people from really getting to know us, for fear of rejection.

4. We become obsessed with creathing phantoms against our true self, for fear of failing, for the one who thinks he is a failure . Still others who appears to be successful, fear they will lose it all.

5. Finally this fear drives us away from God, because we are afraid of His will for our lives. Yet the antidote for fear is embracing God, yielding our all to Him, giving fear, a zero tolerance in our lives.

My friend, see the counsel of apostle Paul for us against fear in Philippians 4 : 6,7. How many things are we to fear or worry about? NOTHING. ZERO. Instead, you should pray about everything.

Theme: The Pursuit Of Faithfulness.

Text For Today: I Corinthians 4:1-2 NKJV
[1] Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. [2] Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

Let me ask; what things have you been doing selflessly and sacrificial for the last ten years, for good of other people, expecting nothing . That's called faithfulness / stewardship.
Are you trust worthy? Can others count on you Do you want to remain original in a world of sellouts? Do you want to be part of the scarce and vanishing geration of saints?

If your answer is yes, then become a person who is faithful. A person who follow through, one others can count on whether things are smoot or tough, he is the kind of person who promise to call and does so on time. He says he will do it and he does exactly.

Are you known as a faithful person? If you are, here are few words that describe you; trustworthy, dependable, reliable and responsible. All of the above speak of character.

Apostle paul made a remarkable statement that under score his faithfulness; II Timothy 4:6-8 NKJV
[6] For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. [7] I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. [8] Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Are you faithful in little things or do you often seem to neglect your assignment and responsibility. Spirit of servanthood and faithfulness is a blessing from God. This is described as one with character.

Theme: Faith Is Key To Your Victory.

Text For Today:I John 5:4 NKJV
[4] For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

Faith is key to victorious living if you have it, understand it and activate it. It makes marriage work, it makes parenting work, makes business work, and puts the devil and his works under your feet. Glory to God!

Faith is the catalyst that causes you to implement biblical principles into your life, trusting God to use your obedience to build and cause you live in victory.

Many Christians mistakenly use the word faith to mean belief as in example; I am a Christian, while you're a muslim. Not so, this is a blind belief and never give the victory for life.

Faith that gives victory is; believing God's word is more truer than anything you see, feel, or think. That's what the writer of Hebrew mean, when he described faith as, assurance of things hopped for, conviction of things not seen.

A young boy was placed in the top of a high and elevated place . The uncle said to him jump down and I will catch you. The boy objected with, NO! But when the father of the boy gave the same instruction, the boy jumped into the hands of his father.

Like the young boy, the object of our faith is God and His word. You have got to place your trust in what God Has said, and to do that you need to know Him.

And if you don't know what He Has said in His word, how can you believe? What's that thing in your life today that you must trust God? What are you trusting God for, that only Him can do?

Theme. Building Landmarks. ( part two ).

Text For Today: Psalms 103:1-2 NKJV
[1] Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! [2] Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:

In part one of our topic " Building Landmarks ". We saw God instructing Joshua to set up a pillar insisde Jordan, a physical memorial, landmark, where the feet of the priest bearing the ark stood as God dried the river Jordan, making a road for His people to crossover.

What God intended was to build a lasting memorial, a landmark that points to His power, provisions and blessings of God towards His people, Israel.

But in Psalm 103:1-- 5, David presented to us spiritual landmarks . He pointed to us what God Has done, will do for us and will continue doing for His own, who steadfastly hope and trust in Him.

For several years I and my wife Blessed, has continued to build landmarks and memorials of God's miraculous helps, blessings, provisions, protections and great deliverance He, God, Has benevolently shown us.

What are the importance and the impact, these has upon our lives? By keeping records of all we benefit from God, it helps us ;

1. To keep track of God's benefits to us, we place great values on each.
2. It helps us to never forget them. As men, we are prone to forget when new challenge comes.
3. It builds our faith and keeps fear and unbelief out of our relationship with God.
4. It gives us assurance of victory in face of new challenges.
5. We are confident of God's faithfulness each time we present to God our needs.
6. It keeps us humble and forever greatful to Him who only does great things.

Theme. Building Landmarks. ( part one ).

Text For Today: Joshua 4:9 NKJV
[9] Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood; and they are there to this day.

If you are careful and observant, as you travel and move around villages, towns, suburbs and cities, you will notice various landmarks.

Those landmarks are historical sites that reminds us of our heritage. I found it quite intriguing that God would want Israel to have landmarks.

Why do you think God did that? We humans are quite forgetful but children are curious. God wanted a memorial that will remind His people about Him and His provisions for them.

Like I said before, we are forgetful but children are curious. They ask questions like, how high is heaven above the earth, how distant are we from the stars, how did a baby enter the belly of mama?

A spiritual landmark was designed by God to remind us of how God Has provided, protected, delivered, helped and blessed His people in the past, and prompts us to believe Him today as we face similar scenario.

May I ask you my friend, what are some landmarks in your life today? What are some ways He Has worked in your life? I want you to take a book and journal landmarks of God's encounters in your life, this will serve as memorial for you and your generations.

Father God, we thank you for your great and awesome wonders you have shown towards us and our generations. We are reminded never to take these for granted. We today, begin to treasure your goodness and blessings to our lives. We remain open to receiving from You. This we pray and give thanks. In Jesus Christ mighty name.

Theme: Are You Surrounded By Enemies?

Text for today. Psalm 23:5 (NKJV):
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.”

Sometimes life feels like you're living behind enemy lines. surrounded by opposition, criticism, or spiritual warfare.

Yet David, who knew battle and betrayal, wrote with confidence that God doesn’t remove all enemies; instead, He blesses His children in full view of them. God wil do just that for you today. Amen.

In our life we know of many good people who live in honesty and truth, and experience isolation, trouble and even danger.
Being surrounded by enemies doesn’t mean you are alone or defeated.

It means you are in a place where God displays His provision, power, and peace most clearly. it gives you chances of seeing God at work in your life .

Even in hostile environments, He prepares a table, a place of nourishment, strength, and favour.

Remember: God's presence doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.
He shows up right in the middle of your mess.

Today, God Has prepared table in the presence of hostility, be calm for your victory is now.

My father and God. I
Thank You that even when I feel trapped behind enemy lines, I am never beyond Your reach. Prepare a table of peace in my heart even when chaos surrounds me. Anoint me afresh with strength and courage to stand firm in hostile places. May my life overflow with grace, reminding the watching world that You are faithful in every battlefield. I pray for each and everyone who, in standing for the truth, is in danger today. In Jesus’ mighty Name I pray.

Theme: The curse of Envy.

Text For Today. Galatians 5:26 NKJV
[26] Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Are you struggling with envy? Envy germinate in the heart when the seed of comparison is planted.

Envy starts with a prolonged look at what someone else has achieved or received. When we compare what we know we have with others, Matthew 20 : 1 -- 13, Envy has now taken root.

Jesus pointed this out when in the parable of of the land owner who went out to hire labourers at various intervals and paid them same amount.

We become just like the grumblers when our limited perspective leads us to compare what we think we deserve with what others appear to get. The inevitable result becomes envy

Strangely, we live in a world of comparison. We all have rights and entitlement mentality. A Christian must at all cost avoid comparison as it surely will plant the seed of envy. II Corinthians 10:12 NKJV
[12] For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

My friend, how do you struggle with comparison and envy? Did our Lord's teaching on the parable of the land owner help you out today?

Father we ask you to help us realize when we are being tempted to compare and become envious. Help us to be contented wirh what we have and who we are. This we pray in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.

Theme: How Deep Are Your Roots?

Text For Today: Colossians 2:6-7 NKJV
[6] As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, [7] rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

In a study of two trees, pine and oak. The pine tree has weak shallow root system, but the oak has strong and deeper roots structures.

On a day, strong wind like tornado hits the neighbourhood, the pines are uprooted in matter of seconds, while the oak is only ruffled but keeps standing up.

In the same way, there will always be storms and adversities in your life. What type and how strong are your roots? whether oak or pine will be revealed to the degree that you obey God, you dig your root down deep into the soil of life, giving you the strength of character to withstand storms of life.

The reason some Christians lose heart, become stressed out and are overwhelmed during times of trials is because their roots are terribly shallow.

They're not rooted, built up and established in faith. They are not abiding in Christ according to John 15:4 -- 5. If you are abiding in Christ, drawing your life on daily bases from Him. You'll stand like the oak tree and never uprooted like the spine.

My friend, you and I cannot prepare ourselves on the day the storm hits, we must practice obedience to Christ today.

How Deep Are Your Roots of faith? Is there something in your life today that God Has been speaking to you about, that requires your obedience?

Father God we ask that You give us grace to practice abiding in Christ. Help us to become rooted in you and resist the storm of life. Thank you Lord for showing us the path that leads
