This Sunday we celebrate Mothering Sunday, giving thanks for the love, strength, and care of mothers everywhere.

Join us at St George’s Anglican Church Parktown on 15 March at 7am or 9am for a special service. At the end of the service, our Sunday School will be giving each mother a candle as a small token of appreciation.

Ash Wednesday isn’t just about the ashes — it’s about the reset.

Today marks the beginning of Lent: 40 days of reflection, repentance, prayer, and intentional living. The ashes remind us that we are human (“Remember that you are dust…”) — but also deeply loved and invited to start again.
It’s less about public display, more about private alignment. Less noise, more depth.

New season. Clean heart. Let’s begin. 🕊️

On the mountain, Christ’s glory was revealed — not to impress, but to prepare.

His face shone like the sun. His clothes became dazzling white. And the Father’s voice broke through the cloud: “This is my beloved Son… listen to Him.”

Transfiguration Sunday reminds us that before the cross, there was glory. Before the suffering, there was light.

May we have eyes to behold His glory — and hearts ready to listen. ✨
