Preparation for the 5th Sunday of Easter
3rd May 2026

As we gather in worship this 5th Sunday of Easter, the scriptures remind us to remain steadfast in faith, trust in God’s presence, and embrace our calling as His people.

Priest: John
PM: Cecilia
Readers: Gavin & Zewe

Acts 7:55–60 reflects the unwavering faith of Stephen, who, even in suffering, kept his eyes fixed on Christ and responded with forgiveness and grace. His testimony reminds us that God’s presence strengthens us during trials.

Psalm 31:1–5, 17–18 is a prayer of trust and surrender, encouraging us to place our lives in God’s hands, knowing that He is our refuge, protector, and source of hope.

1 Peter 2:2–10 reminds believers that we are chosen and precious in God’s sight, called to grow spiritually and shine His light in the world as a holy and faithful people.

John 14:1–14 brings comfort through Jesus’ words: “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” Christ assures us that He is the way, the truth, and the life, calling us to trust Him fully and walk confidently in faith.

Together, these scriptures invite us to reflect on God’s faithfulness, to stand firm in difficult moments, and to live as people transformed by His love and grace.

Preparation for the 4th Sunday of Easter
26th April 2026

We warmly invite you to join the fellowship of the Ruimsig Anglican Community (RAC) as we gather every week to worship, reflect, and to give thanks. May this sacred time strengthen our faith, renew our hearts, and remind us that Christ, our Good Shepherd, continues to guide and protect us.

Scriptures for the Service:
- Acts 2:42–47
- Psalm 23
- 1 Peter 2:19–25
- John 10:1–10

The readings for the 4th Sunday of Easter remind us of the beauty of living under the guidance and love of Christ, our Good Shepherd.

📖 Acts 2:42–47 teaches us the importance of unity, fellowship, prayer, and sharing with one another as the early believers did. It reminds us that a faithful community grows stronger when rooted in God’s Word and love.

📖 Psalm 23 reassures us that the Lord is our Shepherd who provides, protects, restores, and leads us even through difficult seasons. In Him, we find peace, comfort, and hope.

📖 1 Peter 2:19–25 encourages believers to remain faithful and patient during suffering, following the example of Christ who endured hardship with humility, love, and obedience. Through Him, we are healed and brought back into God’s care.

📖 John 10:1–10 reveals Jesus as the true Shepherd and the gate to eternal life. His voice leads us toward safety, truth, purpose, and abundant life.

Together, these scriptures call us to trust God completely, remain united in faith, walk in love and obedience, and follow the voice of Christ with confidence and hope.

May the Word of God bring peace, encouragement, and hope to all who attend, Listen to the service and those that encounter messages from our church home. Let us continue building a loving and faithful community together.

Scriptures - Acts 2: 14a, 22-32 - Psalm 16 - 1 Peter 1: 3-9 - John 20: 19-31

When reflecting on the scripture readings it has reminded us of a powerful truth: hope is alive, even when fear tries to speak louder.

In John 20:19–31, we find the disciples locked behind closed doors, overwhelmed and uncertain. Yet, right there in their fear Jesus appears and says, “Peace be with you.” This is a gentle but powerful reminder that God does not wait for us to have everything together before He meets us. He comes into our anxious, uncertain spaces and brings peace.

Like Thomas, we may sometimes wrestle with doubt, longing for tangible proof before we believe. But Jesus responds with compassion, not rejection. He invites us closer, reminding us that faith is not the absence of questions it is choosing to trust even when we don’t have all the answers.

In Acts 2, Peter stands boldly, transformed from fear to courage. This same transformation is available to us. The resurrection power of Christ gives us strength to rise above doubt, to speak truth, and to live with purpose.

Psalm 16 anchors us in assurance: “You will not abandon me.” Even in life’s uncertainties, God’s presence remains constant. And 1 Peter 1:3-9 calls us to rejoice, because our hope is living, not temporarily refined through trials, yet rooted in something eternal.

Word of Encouragement

Peace is available to you, even in uncertain moments.

Doubt does not disqualify your faith God meets you in it.

What feels like an ending may actually be a beginning filled with purpose.

You are held, guided, and never abandoned.

May you walk today with renewed faith, courage, and the quiet confidence that God is present bringing peace, restoring hope, and calling you forward.
