Ons kleinspan het saamgekom, geleer en gebou aan geloof wat vir altyd hou. Dankie aan elke vrywilliger wat so getrou instap om ons kinders te leer van God se liefde — julle maak ’n ewigheidsverskil!

By accepting our responsibility as men, to pray for each other, for our families, for our children, for our neighbourhoods, for our places of work, businesses, clients - to stand up and say: “here I am Lord, send me”.

MTVT Midweek Sessions discussed the Fundamentals of Fasting

Is your spiritual life feeling sluggish? Are you ready for an "oil change" for your soul to drain the sludge of habit?

In this eye-opening discussion, we dove deep into the core principles and spiritual mechanics of a true fast. Pastor explored how Jesus transformed fasting from a legalistic ritual into a heart-centered spiritual discipline.

We uncovered that fasting is much more than merely "going hungry" - it is a focused mission of self-sacrifice to draw near to God. Whether you are facing closed doors or seeking a spiritual breakthrough, discover how proper discretion and secret appeal to the Father can lead to an open reward.

The Biblical Foundation: Fasting has historical and scriptural roots through the ages. Examples include Moses fasting 40 days to receive the Law. It was also practiced by the Early Church before commissioning Saul and Barnabas.

Avoiding the Pride Trap: We must avoid the distortion of a sad countenance to appear pious to men. We must guard against the pride trap of using acts of service to be "seen of men" rather than "used of God.". If our motivation is public recognition, we receive exactly what we seek, which is 100% human reward.

Modern Interpretations: A Daniel Fast is a specific type of partial fast involving vegetables and water. A Digital Fast involves restricting social media and text messaging to reclaim mental space for God. A Pleasure Fast sets aside entertainment to focus on Scripture.

The Fasting Checklist: You must define the aim by being specific about what you are seeking. You must set the time by establishing clear start and end points for your vow. You should also consider a prayer partner for the power of agreement.

Werk jy onbeskryflik hard om 'n gemaklike lewe te bou, maar voel jy altyd diep leeg en geestelik uitgeput? Voel dit dalk of jy jou geld en energie in 'n "beursie met gate" wegbêre?

In hierdie kragtige oggenddiens delf ons diep in Haggai 1 en 1 Korintiërs 6 om te verstaan hoekom ons hierdie oorweldigende geestelike uitputting ervaar. Pastoor Dawid verduidelik hoe ons dikwels ons eie "spoggerige huise" en uiterlike gemak prioritiseer, terwyl ons toelaat dat God se heilige ruimtes in verval raak.

Hierdie boodskap is 'n wekroep om ons liggame te erken as die ware tempel van die Heilige Gees en om aktief te kies om Sy teenwoordigheid te kweek in plaas van vleeslike gemak te bevredig.
