We had a great time together this morning as we glorified the Lord in worship & honoured all our Ebenezer Mother’s.

Our spiritual father, Pastor Andrew Moses shared a powerful message entitled- “Mother’s & Midwives”

“whatever you give a woman, she makes it greatest”

Mothering is hard work but what we lack today is midwives!

Midwives know how to:
• Deliver the baby safely
• Protect life & not kill
• Midwives see far ahead - they see destinies - they understand purpose!

Exodus 1:15-21 NLT
[15] Then Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, gave this order to the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah:
[16] "When you help the Hebrew women as they give birth, watch as they deliver. If the baby is a boy, kill him; if it is a girl, let her live."
[17] But because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king's orders. They allowed the boys to live, too.
[18] So the king of Egypt called for the midwives. "Why have you done this?" he demanded. "Why have you allowed the boys to live?"
[19] "The Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women," the midwives replied. "They are more vigorous and have their babies so quickly that we cannot get there in time."
[20] So God was good to the midwives, and the Israelites continued to multiply, growing more and more powerful.
[21] And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

These midwives in Moses’s time carried out themselves in a Godly way

Code of conduct of Midwives:
• They feared God
• Submitted to God’s agenda
• Fixed their heart on God
• Resisted evil
• Protects life

Midwives reward:
Exodus 1:20-21 NLT
[20] So God was good to the midwives, and the Israelites continued to multiply, growing more and more powerful.
[21] And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

Exodus 1:20-21 KJV
[20] Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
[21] And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.

This Friday that passed we had a great time at our Youth gathering.

One of our Youth core leaders, Kiara shared on “Let go & let God” a very encouraging message of how God is our anchor! ⚓️

Some highlights:
• The anchors purpose is to keep the boat/ship stable & to stop it from drifting away

• The anchor doesn’t remove the storms!

It stabilises the boat/ship

• Christ is our anchor

• Jesus doesn’t take away our struggles but He stands with us to strengthen us!

Hebrews 6:18 NLT
[18] So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.

A beautiful Gathering this morning- Pastor Houston Moses shared on the “Wilderness that every believer must go through”

Highlights:

Isaiah 43:19 NLT
[19] For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

• In the journey of faith, there is a reality that every believer will face the wilderness

• These are seasons of testings & sifting

• The wilderness is not meant to only break us, but to build us, purify us, and prepare us for the greater purpose God has for our lives

• Just like the Israelites, every child of God must go through wilderness seasons to reach the promised land

Embrace the Wilderness, Embrace the Process

The wilderness is not an enemy of your destiny—it is the path to it

Every wilderness you face will strengthen your faith, purify your heart, and prepare you for greater things

Your wilderness is a preparation ground for the promise.

Hold on to the faith, for after the wilderness comes the victory

This past Sunday we were blessed to have Pastor Jacob Isaac & Pastor Lucanus Isaac minister to us… it was a different gathering for us at Ebenezer, as it was also Delcine Moses’s last Sunday with us before she embarked on her new journey out of Durban.

Alot of mixed emotions & teary eyes but what a timely word by Pastor Jacob on “Self Introspection”

Self examination- a calm, lengthy, intent consideration - a reflection & self analysis

a penetrating examination of your beliefs & motives

‘Your belief system defines your motives’

Lamentations 3:37-42 NLT
[37] Who can command things to happen without the Lord's permission?
[38] Does not the Most High send both calamity and good?
[39] Then why should we, mere humans, complain when we are punished for our sins?
[40] Instead, let us test and examine our ways. Let us turn back to the LORD.
[41] Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven and say,
[42] "We have sinned and rebelled, and you have not forgiven us.

Youth Program done by Letrecia Moses - “Identity Pt2”.

Great insight into the scriptures revealing our identity in Christ & the purposes of God for our lives & how so many started good but didn’t end well.

We are grateful that God is speaking.

A powerful Service this past Sunday - a message from our Senior Pastor, Andrew Moses on “the weight of the cross”

Some highlights:

The build of the cross —
Weight- +/- 181kg’s
Length/ height - 4,5m
Width of the cross bar - 2m
Cypress, olive & pine wood was used

• Jesus carried more than just this physical cross

• It’s amazing how the church today, gives up so easily.

• The load & the weight carried shows love, dedication & commitment.

Cross in Greek - stores — upright tree

Galatians 3:13 NLT
[13] But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."

Isaiah 40:30-31 NLT
[30] Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.
[31] But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

We need God !

He gives us strength!

We had a great program by Letrecia Moses at our youth gathering last night - “our identity is in Christ”

The world has a different way of labelling us & often times we follow this perspective because of the weight that comes it but - our identity is found in Christ- Nothing else !!

We are not defined by what we go through or the season we in - we are defined by Christ!

Sunday Gathering : 08 March 2026

Pst Andrew Moses shared on :
"Hold on to the Grip"- By Staying in Faith

Key Points and Scriptures :
We are slowing losing our grip of God the Father.

Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT
[14] So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. [15] This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

Hebrews 10:23 NLT
[23] Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Believing Establishes us :

Isaiah 7:9 NLT
[9] Israel is no stronger than its capital, Samaria, and Samaria is no stronger than its king, Pekah son of Remaliah. Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.”

Hebrews 12:27 NLT
[27] This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.
