Some take aways from Ps Mthembu's session:
Strong family units are built upon fundamental values such as: Self-control, love and tolerance. Men should conduct themselves in a manner that is worthy of respect, loving and serving their wives and children. Likewise, women ought to be reverent in the way they live, submissive and committed to their duties at home. Once we as a society deviate from the basic principles that God has laid out for us to abide by, we will be conflicted in our pursuit for stability and progress in life, generally. Our relationships won’t stand the test of time, nor will they permit growth. Integrity and a strong sense of duty is at the center of it all.
Titus 2:1-5 “Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. 3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.”
