Come & Trust - Part 2
John 6:29 "Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
the original word to believe = to trust. Why is it work to trust? Because it doesn't come easy. Grace is not opposed to effort, but to earning. We are making every effort to grow in our love and trust in God/Jesus. Last week we looked at Satan leading Adam & Eve astray by planting doubt, making them Look at the fruit, Desire its "benefits" so that they will Take a bite.
Jesus chooses his words very carefully when he said: You need to eat my flesh. He reconstructs the pattern that Satan had tought us: Look at Jesus - Desire Jesus - Eat Jesus.
Practically - let us grow in wisdom (Psalm 1&2 are great starting points) , let us not be found walking in the counsel of the wicked, standing in the way of sinners or sitting with those that mock the truth. Let's have honest conversations with God and one another. Be known by God and others and know God and others. Meditate, ordinary repetition is radical and changes us. And let's be grateful. We have so much to be grateful for!

Come & Trust - part 1
We are moving on in our series to come to God/Jesus and see who he is, to leran from him and to trust him. Not an easy task, especially since we were reminded of the spiritual war we are daily fighting. Yet God is the source of wisdom, He wants to show us the way, He wants to walk along with us. Why do we not trust the One who sacrificed His son for us? Why do we think God is witholding something from us? Because we look at others and desire what they have, And we take what we desire as soon as it is possible.. The circle works, Satans strategy works: see-desire-take. In our fast pace time more than ever.. So, slow down, restrict what leads you astray and find time to walk with God. Reconnect with his people and learn to trust Him that His plan is better than ours.

Pull Together - Spiritual Warfare -
Know your enemy - don't give Satan too much room, but understand who he is, what his character and tactics are, so that we are prepared. He is the enemy - not people. He has a plan for each one of us, he is defeated, but not destroyed - therefore God gave us a spiritual armor, which we need and should use at all times. The only offensive weapon we have is the sword - the word of God. Use it wisely - use your tongue wisely. We are to protect one another and work together. Let's make every effort to keep the unity. Jesus prayed for it. It's on us to live it.

Come & Be Fed - The Bread of Life
Ted Campagna from Fayetteville N.C. was our guest speaker for this special Sunday. Bring Your Neighbor Day, Mother's Day - it was a wonderful atmosphere! How fitting to hear that we often crave the bread, but not the baker and end up realizing that what we are doing is meaningless and chasing after the wind... God wants a relationship with us, not when we need something but every day. As we need bread/food every day, so we are designed to be with Him. Every day. Don't let Doubt, Shame or the illusion of having time get in the way. (Re-)Connect with Him today.

Come & Learn - The Mission of Christ
WHat is a MISSION? A mission is a defined, core purpose, task or assigned goal that an organization, group or individual works to achieve
God clearly is on a mission: to seek and save the lost.
God mobilised everything he had: His one and only Son.
Jesus tasked us with the Mission: to baptize and teach all nations into His name for our forgiveness of sins. So that we may escape the wrath of God.
Let us not abandon God's mission, but work on it!

Come & Learn - Fruitfulness
The cycle of Grace is closing with this last part. Fruitfulness is something God intended for us to be from the very beginning.
Character Fruit, Kingdom Fruit or Fruit through living out God's mission - when we are connected to the vine, we will bear fruit.
Stay connected! Watch where God is using you already to bring light and peace, order and clarity.. Be the tool he designed you to be, so your life can fulfill its purpose and many others can grow

Come & Learn - The cycle of Grace - Significance
As the world keeps turning in the same way (the cycle of works) we ae called to look at life differently - through God's eyes: The cycle of Grace. This was the reason that Jesus didn't burn out, stayed humble, focused on others - He knew he was accepted, able to sustain this base and his relationship with the Father and therefore led a life of absolute significance.
Significance is about God's calling for your life, not about performance for your own fame. Success is not measured in $$ but how we have helped or assisted someone
Significance is a spiritual sense is about surrender, so that God can use me according to His purpose.

Come & Learn - Sustenance 2
How content are we ? Paul had learned the secret of being content in all circumstances, because he had learned that he can do all things through Christ. God/Christ sustained him in prison, in hardship as well as in good times.
We can learn this too. If we llet God sustain us - not the world. How do we read our bibles? Through which lens? There are fruitful ways to do it, and one of these is scriptural meditation. Follow along as we explore this enriching way.

Come & See - The Risen Christ
Happy Resurrection Day!
These past 3 days are the foundation of our Christian Faith.
It has nothing to do with Eastereggs and Bunnies, but everything with the overcoming of death and the risen Christ!
The Jews celebrated the Passover Festival since Moses led them out of Egypt.
Jesus rewrites the story through his death, burial and resurrection, giving us all a chance to restart our life. His death saved us from the wrath of God and His resurrection proves that all that scripture says about Him is true and worthy to believe & follow.
Enjoy your week ahead in this freedom

Come & Learn - Sustanence
Recap: Jesus lived and worked from acceptance - not for acceptance. But even if we are accepted, life is not easy. Hardships are inevitable. Noone goes through life without serious trials. Jesus did so too. He was constantly around people that just wanted him for their benefit - thei healing, their food, their betterment.. How did Jesus continue every day to love, give, teach and not burn out? The answer lies in WHAT sustains us? Who or What sustains your energy, emotional balance, your love, peace, patience? Are you a tree planted by the river? Have you established rhythms that replenish what you used? Jesus lived with rhythms and habits that prevented burnout: He rested, prayed, withdrew: OFTEN.
Grace and Union with God sustains.
May we walk closely with God this week and allow Him to sustain us.
