The Heart of Four12
Imagine Jesus at the centre of His people, all gathered around their great Love and Lover, looking into His beautiful face. Imagine His Spirit leading us, communicating His mind and heart to us all. Imagine His hands releasing His strength and power through us all, as testimonies emerge of salvation, freedom, souls being renewed, lives fixed, physical healing, heaven’s utteran
ces released on earth and the tongues of angels and men being spoken. Imagine a community where brothers really do live in unity; where people are loved, cared for, accepted, forgiven, lovingly mentored and genuinely helped. Where every single person is being fashioned and formed into the image of the Lord. Where men are so immersed in Jesus that those they meet know they serve and build with Christ in them, not just as men trying to do something for Christ. Imagine churches built by the Holy Spirit, not man-made structures and human ingenuity. Where God’s Word is powerfully taught, deeply loved and uncompromisingly embraced. Where the unlovable find unbelievable love. Where, on a daily basis, people are being radically rescued from the darkness of this world and powerfully brought into relationship with Jesus, learning to live that out through His church. Imagine churches no longer divided, but embracing and working alongside each other, in love, as each honours, serves and partners with the other for the King’s glory. Where entire cities and towns are rocked and transformed by the power of Jesus’ presence through us, His church. Progressively, I have felt the Lord leading me to give my all to make this dream a reality. It is this dream that is rallying in the hearts of thousands of Christians and numerous churches around the globe. They are coming out of religion, independence and the world to gather around Jesus. And in that place, they find that they are standing really close to one another. Each has the same dream, the same desire: to live it. God is gathering a people around Himself and His purposes. This is the heart of what Four12 is about: to become God’s dream together; to model the kingdom of God on earth, revealing God’s ways and splendour. Churches are echoing heaven’s cry, “This is it; this is the dream coming alive! The time is now!”
Watch out world, the kingdom is coming! God is doing a new thing, and I for one am feeling ridiculously blessed to be a part of it. Andrew Selley
