*Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:*

*Knowing about someone is different from knowing the person.* There are many people who know about me but do not know me.

Knowing God from afar is very different from knowing Him personally. The way you can develop that personal relationship with God is not in public at a church service.

You cannot develop a personal relationship with anyone by interacting in public. There has to be communication at a personal level. There has to be a personal interaction! There has to be a quiet time with God. You can know God personally by spending time with Him during your quiet time.

*The strongholds in most Christians’ lives cannot be broken down by one powerful sermon.*

Anyone who does not have a regular quiet time has many things in his life that need to be burnt and broken down. A daily quiet time breaks down evil strongholds (Jeremiah 23:29).

Christians who just listen to sermons on Sundays are very different from those who have a regular quiet time. *A daily quiet time leads to the cutting away of unwanted aspects of our lives and character (Hebrews 4:12).*

When you expose yourself to the Word of God, you are exposing yourself to a supernatural power.

*God is actually in His Word.*

NEW THINGS

READ: Luke 5:33-39

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?…” – Isaiah 43:19

The world is constantly changing. Old systems and approaches no longer work. Computers have re fashioned the way we do things. Seasons change. Our needs change, and people change. That is why God constantly introduces fresh and new things.

I am very open to new ideas. I do not mind changing things I have been doing in a particular way for a long time. I find that God is a God of positive change! God is a God of improvement!

I notice how people laugh at me when I suggest new ideas. I have heard these statements and sensed these messages even when they are not voiced out.

Openness to new ideas is a secret to moving ahead as a leader. God is a God of change. He is doing new things. Embrace new ideas with honesty. Try a new method. A new way of doing things may be the key to pushing you out ahead of everyone else in your field. When I practised the lay ministry, I didn’t do it because I saw others doing it. I did it because it needed to be done even though it was new. I am following my heavenly Father who is a God of new things. Be like your heavenly Father. There is no better mentor.

God does new things; He has new projects, new schemes, new ideas, new plans. God gives brand new instructions to His servants (John 13:34). Every instruction has an expiry date. God makes us into brand new people who have never existed before (1 Corinthians 5:17)

“I know your works and your tribulation and your poverty” (Revelation 2:9). In other words, God is marking your accomplishments but He is also marking your tribulation and poverty.

The word “survive” means to be able to go through something difficult, to remain in existence, to overcome adversity, to be unaffected and happy, in spite of circumstances and occurrences around you.

It is what you have survived and what you have gone through, without being destroyed, that makes you a spiritual giant.

*For now we see through a glass DARKLY..*

*1 Corinthians 13:12*

This verse teaches us that we do not see things clearly. When you see a vision, what is actually happening is that you are being drawn towards the spirit world. The further out you are drawn. The clearer the visions becomes.

We need the help of the Holy Spirit to guide us even in prayer. When we pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit controls our prayers.

“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.”
1 Corinthians 16:9

When Jesus was born into this world to save mankind he met with Herod who ordered the slaughter of all children in an attempt to eliminate the Saviour. The great call and commission of Jesus as the Saviour of this world was met with the highest kind of resistance.

Your calling will equally be met with fierce resistance. If you insist on working for God, you will be resisted, frustrated, accused, harassed and opposed by an invisible enemy all through your life and ministry.

If you do not PRAY, and if you are not spiritual, you will not last in this fierce invisible war.
