The divine service was conducted by 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑 𝑷𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒏, with 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑱𝒂𝒄𝒐𝒃𝒔 called up to assist. The focus of the service: We receive salvation in Christ visibly by receiving the sacraments.

The message emphasised that the sacraments are necessary for obtaining salvation in its fulness.

Our Sunday service word and summary: Respecting and preserving life

■ The Fifth Commandment serves to protect human life.
■ Jesus Christ expands on the meaning of this commandment: violence already has its roots in anger and hatred, which are themselves violations of God’s will.
■ We are called upon to respect, protect, and promote life.
■ Even if we at times fail in our endeavour to follow God’s commandments, the following applies to the humble: His mercy is greater than our imperfection.

The message emphasised that we care for one another, especially in times of need.

✨A Fresh New Look✨

Yesterday, 22 August, our Young People came together to paint the church kitchen, giving it a fresh and brighter look for the congregation to enjoy and use. It was a wonderful morning filled with fellowship, teamwork, and joy.

We are grateful for everyone who came out and contributed to making the space feel new again!

■ God says to us, “I will certainly be with you”— both in everyday life and especially in “desert seasons”.
■ The name of God reveals His faithfulness: “I am here.” He is a God who accompanies us and cares for us.
■ God calls us by name: we are His beloved children. And we want to be with Him as well.

■ Jesus not only prays to the Father for the disciples of that time, but also for all those who will come to believe through their word.
■ The objective of Jesus’ prayer is the unity of all believers. This unity is founded upon Him and
is meant to be an identifying feature of the one church of Christ.
■ Oneness is a gift of God and a mission for humankind.
