TANIA MORKEL TESTIMONY EVENING.
This coming Sunday we are hosting Tania Morkel as she shares her "Fall to Fame" Testimony. In September 2023 Tania fell 18 metres down Table Mountain. She suffered multiple life threatening injuries yet less than 18 months later she embarked upon a 64 day fundraiser for the Wilderness Search and Rescue Organisation. She hiked up the mountain 64 times in 64 days. This past Wednesday Tania completed another mindblowing fundraiser for the WSRO and Sanparks voluntary rangers. This involved climbing 13 Peaks 13 Times in 13 Weeks (91 days) at the age of 66. The pics below are of her final hike when she climbed 2 peaks in 41 hours and finished after Sunset.

One of our congregations member's brother was diagnosed with low grade lymphoma a few years ago. This subsequently mutated a year ago into aggressive lymphoma. During the past 11 months 7 different chemo regimes were tried. In mid May his church asked him to
share his testimony.
He was due to do this in person on May 31st. However as his condition deteriorated it was decided to film the testimony and screen it. Sadly his condition meant he never got to see it as he died on 1st June. It is posted here in the hope that it will provide comfort for others and their families facing a similar a situation.

What a great morning!! PMC PARKRUNNERS joined AMC PARKRUNNERS launch today at Bridgetown. Between us we made up well over half the field and a great time was had by all. In September 2023 Tania Morkel fell 18 metres whilst hiking on Table Mountain. Thanks to the emergency services she was airlifted to hospital. She suffered multiple life threatening fractures. The video below is of her husband with his phone and Tanya's daughter taking to her from America. That Tania survived is a miracle. On Sunday 28th June at 6:30 pm Tania will be sharing her story during our Songs of Praise and Testimony series. NOT TO BE MISSED. All welcome.

This coming Saturday (13th June) PMC Parkrunners join Athlone Methodist Church at the launch of the AMC Parkrun group at Bridgetown at 8:00 am. Some of us will be running, some walking and some just supporting. All welcome to join us for this special event.
