On Sunday, 06 September 2026, the Rector Pr Adrian Africa conducted the Friendship divine service.

As basis for the divine service, the Bible text was 1 John 5:8 “ The saving effect of the sacraments”

The message: “ We receive salvation in Christ visibly by receiving the sacraments”

Summary:
• The divine Sonship of Jesus Christ is acknowledged by God the Father.
• ⁠The Spirit, the water, and the blood point to the saving effect of the sacraments administered in the church of Christ.
• ⁠The sacraments are necessary for obtaining salvation in its fullness.

The priest Jerome Norris was called to serve along.

After the divine service the congregation had some fellowship.

On Wednesday, 19 August 2026, the District Rector Colin Esau conducted the Divine Service.

As basis for the divine service, the Bible text was Luke Exodus 3:11-12 (excerpt)

“I will certainly be with you”

The message: “Gods presence and love motivate us to remain with him”

Summary:
• God says to us, “I will certainly be with you both in everyday life and especially in “ desert seasons”.
• ⁠The name of God reveals His faithfulness: “I am here.” He is a God who accompanies us and cares for us.
• ⁠God calls us by name: we are His beloved children. And we want to be with him as well.

After the divine service the congregation enjoyed some fellowship, with a nice warm cup of soup.

On Saturday the 01st of August 2026 as part of our Dare to Care outreach program.

Belthorn’s young people visited a home for abused woman whereby we handed over a donation which was well received.

The young people spent some time with the woman.

On Wednesday, 29 July 2026, the Rector Pr Karl Roman conducted the Divine Service.

As basis for the divine service, the Bible text was Luke 18 vs 9

“ Warning against self righteousness”

The message: “ We do not look down on others”

Summary:
• The parable is designed to surprise with a repentant tax collector and a self righteous Pharisee.
• ⁠Even we Christians, who consider ourselves to be devout, can be self righteous.
• ⁠We do not look down on people who live their lives or practise their faith differently than we do.

The service was lead by the Young People as a beautiful token of the concept of Dare to Care.

On Tuesday 28th July our young people participated in a bible study evening as part of the Dare2care week.
