# # # 🙏 WHAT IS FERVENT PRAYER?
Fervent prayer is **intense, determined prayer accompanied by wholehearted faith, surrender, and self-denial.**
It is more than simply speaking words. It is prayer that comes from a heart that is genuinely connected to God.
> **“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” — James 5:16**
# # # 🔥 WHAT DID WE LEARN?
**1️⃣ Pray from the heart.**
God is not looking for empty words. He desires a heart that genuinely seeks Him.
**2️⃣ Pray with faith and determination.**
Like Jacob, we must learn to hold on to God and refuse to give up:
> *“I will not let you go unless you bless me.”* — Genesis 32:26
**3️⃣ Embrace self-denial.**
Fervent prayer may require us to sacrifice our comfort, distractions, desires, and even food through fasting so that we can seek God wholeheartedly.
**4️⃣ Don't give up!**
Hannah continued to seek God even when her situation seemed impossible. **Prayer can change what appears to be an established situation.**
**5️⃣ Pray, fast, and act in faith.**
Esther sought God through fasting and then stepped forward with courage. **Fervent prayer produces courage to act.**

**Prayer is not merely asking God for things—it is seeking God Himself.**
When your heart is connected to God, your prayer becomes **personal, focused, persistent, and powerful.**
🔥 **Pray with precision.**
🔥 **Pray with determination.**
🔥 **Pray with faith.**
🔥 **Pray with your whole heart.**

**When you pray, is your heart connected?**
Don't just move your lips—**engage your heart.**
Don't give up—**hold on to God.**
Don't fear—**step out in faith.**
