👉🤔"God revealed Himself to the Jews, telling them in detail what was right and wrong in moral, civil, ceremonial, and health matters. He also explained the penalties for violation of the various laws. Violation of the revealed will of God is here defined as sin."🤔🤔

👉🤔"Thus, Paul explains, he would not have known if it was a sin to covet without having been informed of that fact by the “law.” Sin is the violation of the revealed will of God, and where the revealed will is unknown, there is no awareness of sin. When that revealed will is made known to a person, he or she comes to recognize that he or she is a sinner and is under condemnation and death. In this sense, the person dies."🤔

👉🤔Jesus did not consent to sin. Not even by a thought did He yield to temptation. So it may be with us. Christ’s humanity was united with divinity; He was fitted for the conflict by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. And He came to make us partakers of the divine nature. So long as we are united to Him by faith, sin has no more dominion over us. God reaches for the hand of faith in us to direct it to lay fast hold upon the divinity of Christ, that we may attain to perfection of character.🤔🤔

👉🤔At our baptism we pledged ourselves to break all connection with Satan and his agencies, and to put heart and mind and soul into the work of extending the kingdom of God. . . . The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are pledged to cooperate with sanctified human instrumentalities.🤔🤔🤔

👉🤔"A profession of Christianity without corresponding faith and works will avail nothing. No man can serve two masters. The children of the wicked one are their own master’s servants; to whom they yield themselves servants to obey, his servants they are, and they cannot be the servants of God until they renounce the devil and all his works. It cannot be harmless for servants of the heavenly King to engage in the pleasures and amusements which Satan’s servants engage in, even though they often repeat that such amusements are harmless. God has revealed sacred and holy truths to separate His people from the ungodly and purify them unto Himself. Seventh-day Adventists should live out their faith.🤔🤔

👉🤔Although we have all these wonderful promises of victory over sin, the fact is that we all—even as born-again Christians—are aware of just how fallen we are, of just how sinful we are, and of just how corrupt our hearts can be. Is there a contradiction here? 🤔🤔

"As time allows, skim through the book of Leviticus.
(See, for instance, Leviticus 12, 16, and 23.) What thoughts come to your mind as you read all these rules and regulations and rituals? Why would many of these be all but impossible to follow in New Testament times?"

"It is convenient for us to classify Old Testament laws into various categories: (1) moral law, (2) ceremonial law, (3) civil law, (4) statutes and judgments, and (5) health laws."

"This classification is in part artificial. In actuality some of these categories are interrelated, and there is considerable overlap. The ancients did not see them as separate and distinct."

"The moral law is summed up by the Ten Commandments (Exod. 20:1-17). This law sums up the moral requirements of humanity. These ten precepts are amplified and applied in various statutes and judgments throughout the first five books of the Bible. These amplifications show what it meant to keep the law of God in various situations. Not unrelated are the civil laws. These, too, are based on the moral law. These define a citizen’s relationship to civil authorities and to fellow citizens. They name the penalties for various infractions."

"The ceremonial law regulated the sanctuary ritual, describing the various offerings and the individual citizen’s responsibilities. The feast days are specified and their observance defined."

"The health laws overlap the other laws. The various laws relating to uncleanness define ceremonial uncleanness, and yet they also go beyond this to include hygienic and health principles. Laws regarding clean and unclean meats are based on physical considerations."

"While the Jew probably largely thought of all of these laws as a package, having all come from God, he or she must have made certain distinctions mentally. The Ten Commandments had been spoken by God directly to the people. This would set them apart as especially important. The other laws had been relayed through Moses. The sanctuary ritual could be kept only while a sanctuary was in operation."

"The civil laws, at least in large part, could no longer be imposed after the Jews lost their independence and came under the civil control of another nation. Many of the ceremonial precepts could no longer be observed after the temple was destroyed. Also, after the Messiah came, many of the types had met their antitypes and no longer had validity."

Signs of Times...

NA MESMA SEMANA em que o PAPA FRANCISCO conclamou as pessoas a ouvirem o “clamor da Terra” (confira), reafirmando assim seu discurso ECUmênico, o presidente dos Estados Unidos, DONALD TRUMP, promulgou um domingo de oração pelas vítimas do furacão Harvey. (World Press - Michelson Borges)

"O refreador Espírito de Deus está mesmo agora sendo retirado do mundo.

FURACÕES, TORMENTAS, TEMPESTADES, INCÊNCIDOS E INUNDAÇÕES, desastres em terra e mar, seguem-se um ao outro em rápida seqüência.

A ciência busca a explicação para tudo isso.

Os sinais que em torno de nós se avolumam, prenunciando a próxima manifestação do Filho de Deus, são atribuídos a outra causa que não a verdadeira.

Os que se empenham em conseguir uma emenda à Constituição, para obter uma lei que imponha a observância do domingo, mal compreendem qual vai ser o resultado. Uma crise está iminente. Testemunhos Seletos, vol. 2, págs. 318 e 352.

O primeiro dia da semana não é um dia para ser reverenciado.

É um sábado espúrio, e os membros da família do Senhor não podem ter parte com os homens que o exaltam, e violam a lei de Deus, pisando Seu Sábado.

Quando nossa nação (Estados Unidos da América) renunciar os princípios de seu governo de tal forma que vote uma lei dominical, nesse próprio ato o protestantismo dará a mão ao papado. Testemunhos Seletos, vol. 2, pág. 318.

Satanás dá sua interpretação aos eventos, e os homens pensam, como ele quer que o façam, que as calamidades que enchem a Terra constituem um resultado da transgressão do Domingo.

Tencionando aplacar a ira de Deus, esses homens influentes fazem leis impondo a observância do domingo. Manuscript Releases, vol. 10, pág. 239.

O protestantismo dará a mão da comunhão ao poder romano. Então haverá uma lei contra o sábado da criação divina, e será nessa ocasião que Deus efetuará Sua "estranha obra" na Terra. The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 7, pág. 910.

O povo dos Estados Unidos tem sido um povo favorecido, mas quando eles restringirem a liberdade religiosa, renunciarem ao protestantismo e apoiarem o papado, a medida de sua culpa estará cheia, e nos livros do Céu será escrito: "apostasia nacional". Review and Herald, 2 de maio de 1893.

Quando o Estado usar seu poder para impor os decretos e amparar as instituições da Igreja - então a América Protestante terá formado uma imagem do papado e haverá uma apostasia nacional que só terminará em ruína nacional. The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 7, pág. 976.

A substituição da lei de Deus pelas dos homens, a exaltação, por autoridade meramente humana, do domingo, posto em lugar do sábado bíblico, é o derradeiro ato do drama. Quando essa substituição se tornar universal, Deus Se revelará. Ele Se erguerá em Sua majestade para sacudir terrivelmente a Terra. Testemunhos Seletos, vol. 3, págs. 142 e 143.

O chamado mundo cristão será o palco de grandes ações decisivas. Homens com autoridade promulgarão leis para controlar a consciência, segundo o exemplo do papado. Babilônia fará que todas as nações bebam do vinho da ira de sua prostituição.

Toda nação será envolvida. João, o Revelador, declara o seguinte sobre esse tempo: ... "Têm estes um só pensamento." (Apoc. 18:3-7; 17:13 e 14.)

Haverá um laço de união universal, uma grande harmonia, uma confederação de forças satânicas. "E oferecem à besta o poder e a autoridade que possuem."
Assim é manifestado o mesmo poder arbitrário e opressor contra a liberdade religiosa, contra a liberdade de adorar a Deus de acordo com os ditames da consciência, que foi manifestado pelo papado, quando no passado ele perseguiu os que ousaram recusar conformar-se aos ritos e cerimônias religiosas dos romanistas. Tudo isso, escrito a mais de 100 anos.

Deus tenha misericórdia deste planeta.
