Anchor of Hope Ministries is a registered NPO, no 67556, which concentrate on the social and spiritual upliftment of the very poor - irrespective of age, gender, ability, political background or race. Anchor of Hope is the main organization which is divided into four sub-divisions. Each of these sub-divisions has its own manager, staff and expertise, but has the same board of directors and constit

ution. The names of the sub-divisions are:
1) Special Projects,
2) Pregnancy Crisis Centre ,
3) Carpentry and upholstery,
4) Sewing,
5) Infrastructure maintenance,
6) Training - POPUP, Each of these divisions concentrate on it’s own field of expertise within the community of Bloemfontein and surrounding areas. The focus area of the different divisions are as follows:

1) Projects :
Food and clothing to the poor and other organizations, feeding schemes, community and social programs with the SAPS and correctional services.

2) Pregnancy Crisis Centre:
Pre and post abortion counseling, information sessions at tertiary institutions, training for counselors and temporary accommodation for pregnant mothers and new born babies.

5 Years back Neil was taken into our shelter with no where to go. Since then Neil has been appointed as our Shelter manager and has evolved as a pillar in the Anchor of Hope structures. Because of this Neil knows the hardships of being on the streets and last week we started a winter project where the guys in the shelter gives to those in the streets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday something to eat. This is teaching the men in the shelter that although they are in a shelter they are privilege in having food and accommodation. This also give the men in the shelter a sense of dignity and worthiness in helping others in need. This project is lead by Neil. Thank you God for changing the lives of others.
