Praise be to the Lord! Praise be to the King of Kings, who reigns over all!

Yesterday, we had such a beautiful Sunday together as a church family. We were especially blessed to see Tyrone Long lead worship for the very first time alone. The worship was outstanding, with such a wonderful expression of corporate singing. It was truly beautiful to hear the church lifting their voices together in praise to our Lord.

We were also blessed by a beautiful prayer led by Evans Odhiambo. It was encouraging to see young men stepping up to serve the church and, above all, to glorify the name of the Lord.

We also had the joy of witnessing a baptism and hearing a beautiful testimony, reminding us once again why we serve our true and faithful God. We do not serve for ourselves, but for Him, His glory, and His Kingdom.

Mark also continued through Titus 1, bringing us another wonderful time in God’s Word and reminding us of the importance of faithful leadership within Christ’s church.

What a beautiful Sunday it was, being together in the presence of God’s people, worshipping, praying, hearing His Word, and celebrating what He is doing among us.

All glory and praise belong to Him!

📖 “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.”

The Day That Was | Preach 2026

On Saturday, 22 August, we gathered for Preach 2026, a day centred on the preaching of God’s Word, the building up of His church, and the way we faithfully listen to and proclaim Scripture.

Across four sessions, we considered the relationship between preaching and worship, how we build the church through preaching, how not to preach, and the importance of expository listening. Each session gave us much to think about and, more importantly, much to take back to our churches and ministries.

There was something special about the atmosphere throughout the day. The warm, full echo of voices filled the room as we worshipped together through songs such as Behold the Saviour’s Hands, Show Us Christ, Speak O Lord, and many others. We were reminded that preaching and worship are not separate worlds, but both call us to behold Christ and respond to His Word.

And, of course, there was plenty of fellowship. Around lunch, we shared finger foods, conversation, laughter, and time together. Books were browsed, conversations were had, and friendships were strengthened.

Preach 2026 was more than simply a conference. It was a day set apart to listen, learn, worship, fellowship, and be reminded of the weight and joy of faithfully proclaiming Christ through His Word.

And this is only the beginning.

Over the next few days, we’ll be looking back at the richness of what we heard and learnt together.

Faith in Christ is the means. Not faith in our faithfulness, Faith in his finished work. That truth that truth that changes everything. The gospel, Christ's life, his death, his resurrection is the content of the word that we trust. It is the substance of the hope that we hold…

What a Sunday! 🤍

From freshly painted pots and new signboards to a beautiful time of worship, it was encouraging to see our church coming together.

We sang Prepare Him Room, All I Have Is Christ, Yet Not I But Through Christ in Me, and Holy, Holy, Holy.

Then we opened God’s Word in Titus 1:1–4, reminding us of four beautiful truths:

The Master we serve.
The hope we hold.
The Word we trust.
The grace we receive.

God’s promises secure our salvation and fuel our godliness.

So let His Word go deeper. Let it reshape how we think, feel, and respond.

Godliness isn’t a performance. It’s spiritual obedience flowing from grace.

What a wonderful Sunday we shared together as God’s people!

Our time was marked by joyful worship, warm fellowship, and the sweet encouragement that comes when the saints gather to lift up the name of Jesus.

This week, we looked at 1 Peter 1:1-2 in a sermon titled Foundation of Hope. In a world full of hostility, uncertainty, and trial, God’s Word lifts our eyes to an unshakeable truth: no matter your struggles or situation, the foundation of your hope is the eternal God, Three-in-One.

We were reminded of how the Triune God secures our salvation:
• God the Father: Sovereignly chose us according to His eternal foreknowledge and covenant love.
• God the Spirit: Set us apart through His sanctifying work, sealing us and renewing our hearts.
• God the Son: Cleansed us and brought us under His covenant protection through the sprinkling of His blood, calling us to a life of joyful obedience.

When the world treats you like a stranger or outcast, remember that your identity is defined by your heavenly citizenship—you are God’s chosen treasure.

What a wonderful Sunday we shared together!

Our service was filled with warm fellowship, heartfelt hugs, joyful laughter, and the sweet encouragement that comes from gathering as God’s people.

This week, Evans preached from Matthew 6:25-34, reminding us how to live a worry-free life. In a world where people often look for quick fixes to quiet anxious hearts, God’s Word points us to something far greater.

The sermon followed three simple questions:

• The Problem: What are you worried about? What is causing your anxiety?
• The Reason: Why shouldn’t you worry? What reasons does God give us to trust Him?
• The Response: How should we respond in a godly way when worry comes?

It was a clear, practical, and encouraging message that pointed us back to trusting our heavenly Father. If you missed it, or would like to listen again, you can watch the full sermon here:

After the service, we gathered in the fellowship hall to enjoy more time together. Even though the hall is currently a little dusty while renovations continue, it didn’t take away from the sweetest part of the morning: sharing life, laughter, and fellowship with the saints.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
