Vision:
Bringing the love of Christ to the heart of the City, a love that sets free, that brings healing and restores hope. Reaching the Prisoners outside the Prison. Going out into a broken world full of lost and hopeless people and ministering the love of Jesus to them. Restoring relationships, their relationship with God and with other people, healing the sick and delivering the captives, changing Kempton Park forever by being His hands and feet. Mission:
Spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Street Evangelism: through sending evangelism teams out on designated streets in the Inner-City, to make contact with the homeless, befriending them and inviting them to attend the Thursday night gatherings. Small Group Meetings: Presenting a program every Thursday evening at a central venue in the Inner-City, (thus ensuring easy access for visitors), that incorporates a free meal, a Bible-based message that deals with relevant life issues and then followed up by small group discussions with time for questions, sharing and prayer. Children’s Ministry – investing in the future of our youth
Intercessory Prayer
Feeding & Clothing the needy
Offering Hope and Encouragement
Referring people to safe houses/organizations that are equipped to assist with shelter, abuse, addictions, prostitution etc. Facilitation of/enabling attendance of courses that encourage spiritual growth and training for those visitors who express the desire to become involved. The end goal is to have the program facilitated by the visitors themselves; passing on what they have learnt to new visitors.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.” Isaiah 61: 1 and 4
