**Salvation by Grace**

On Sunday, 03 May 2026, the congregation of Saxonsea was served with Word and Sacrament by Rector Priest Carl Rodrigues.

Bible Text: Acts 4:12
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”.

Message:
• Let us remain on the path of Salvation.

Summary:
• Salvation comes through Christ alone;
• The name Jesus is synonymous with authority and saving power;
• Even in a pluralistic world, faith in Christ remains the only way to God;
• Our mission is to boldly profess the gospel in word and deed, and to trust in Christ and devote ourselves to Him.

"The choir and orchestra uplifted and prepared the hearts and souls of God’s people before service with a sound rendition of HC #1, “A Glorious Land Awaits Us”.

Furthermore, Priest Chendrew Kotzee was called upon to serve along, affirming that Salvation by Grace through Christ alone is revealed in the command to love our neighbour as ourselves”.

After the celebration of Holy communion, God’s blessing was bestowed on the 25th wedding anniversary of Sis Michelle & Brother Edward Alexander.

The choir concluded the divine service with a melodious anthem and the Rector, accompanied by priestly ministers, greeted and interacted with the members after service.

**THE LORD SHALL FIGHT FOR YOU**

On Wednesday, 08 April 2026, Rector Arthur Aspeling conducted his last divine service at the Saxonsea Congregation, in the Atlantis district.

The Bible reading was taken from Psalm 23:1: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” The message reminded us that we need not fear, for the Lord is always with us.

The choir prepared the hearts and souls of God's children with their melodious renditions before and during the service.

The Rector thanked everyone for their welcoming and accepting him as the Rector into their hearts and homes, allowing him to serve and lead them.

He further alluded to the openness and support of the members over the years, it made his calling as the Rector meaningful and fulfilling and he will forever treasure the special encounters he had with God's people.

After service, the congregation joined together in singing “God Be With You Till We Meet Again" and the Rector greeted the members by hand and interacted with everyone followed by a short fellowship.

On Sunday, 12 April 2026, Rector Aspeling will be placed in a well-deserved retirement during a service conducted by our dear Apostle Ferdie Lekay.

***********************************************************************

Dear Rector Aspeling,
We as the children of God wish you everything of the best with your retirement and your future endeavors.

Thank you for your guidance and teaching, your support during difficult times, your unwavering love for God's work and your endless prayers and sacrifices seen and unseen. The unexpected phone calls just to check-in, the messages of encouragement and making time for all of us to sit and explain the Lord's love he has for us and that we must remain faithful until the end.

"The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace".

*Sharing with others**

On Sunday, 15 February 2026, District Rector, Shepherd, Cedric Hagglund conducted the Sunday divine service from Saxonsea Congregation in the Atlantis District.

The bible text used as basis for the sermon was read from the Epistle of James 2 v 15 - 16 "If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

Rector, Community Evangelist, Arthur Aspeling was called upon to serve along and spread the gospel.

Prior to the commencement of the divine service, the orchestra, including recorders rendered majestic sounds of songs and praise, preparing the hearts and souls of God's people.

During preparation for Holy Communion, the District Rector emphasised the importance of our intimate fellowship with God during the moment when we partake of Holy communion, as it signifies the sacrifices Jesus made to pay for our sins.

The choir and orchestra concluded the service with a powerful rendition of HC 165 "The Lord is my light" and after service, the District Rector and fellow ministers greeted and interacted with the members.
