Amanzimtoti Baptist Church

Amanzimtoti Baptist Church Demonstrates to all people, in a winsome way. Emphasises both public, corporate worship and private, personal worship. But these times are rare.

Amanzimtoti Baptist Church is a family found by Jesus, regardless of age, culture or background, and following His plan for our lives as revealed through His word. It’s our aim to be a church that:

Maintains an emphasis on biblical teaching in each area of its program and ministry, understanding that the Word of God is the fundamental and authoritative foundation for all Christian living. the love

of Christ in word and deed; and therefore is a loving, friendly, kind, non- judgmental, giving church; committed to reach out to people and meet human need. Sees itself as family, enjoying true fellowship; able to share joys, hurts and burdens; while responding in a loving, encouraging and supporting way. Is a Christ-centred community; a worshipping, prayerful, Spirit-led, living, vibrant, enthusiastic company of disciples; seeking to be all Christ would have us be. Is united in purpose; committed to be doers of the Word together; as active participants in confidently and boldly proclaiming the Gospel by every means to all people. Knows one another’s needs and provides diverse and ongoing training for ministry for all ages, levels and areas of life and ministry. Is engaged in, and encourages serious and regular prayer as a means of growing in grace and invoking the activity of God in our midst. There is a real desire to be the kind of church where people can be loved and accepted as they seek to follow Christ. We desire to be a church, where the grace of God can be manifested in the lives of our people. Many churches, in an effort to be true to God’s Word, become judgmental and legalistic. We believe such churches are not being true to the Word by doing so, but are in fact discouraging people from developing a living relationship with Christ. It is possible to stand without apology for truth and holy living without becoming legalistic. There are times when church discipline must be taken for the sake of the church. On the whole, we choose to trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives into the image of Jesus Christ and to love one another along the way.

🙏 Thank You, Lord, for the ordinary things.

For the dishes that need washing, the food in the cupboard, the clothes that need folding, and a reliable car that gets us from A to B.

These are the everyday things we can so easily overlook, yet each one is a reminder of Your goodness and provision. 💛

Thank You for looking after us, caring for us and providing for us in ways we sometimes forget to notice.

Lord, help us never to take Your blessings for granted - even the ordinary ones. 🙏✨

💙 Just in case you needed to see this today...

Jesus paid it all.

There is nothing left for you to earn. Nothing you need to fix before coming to Him. Jesus has already made the way.

If you’ve been feeling far from God, remember that He is still there, waiting for you to seek Him. Turn to Him. Bring Him whatever you’re carrying.

His grace is greater than your past, and His gift is eternal life✝️

🎶 The sound is coming together!

Our church band is continuing to build their skills, learn from one another, and discover what it means to worship not just with music, but with purpose.
We’re looking forward to what’s ahead as we work towards bringing live worship into our Sunday services. 🙏

Please keep our team in your prayers as they continue to learn, grow and prepare for this next chapter.

“Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” – Psalm 33:3 ✝️

What do you do when you genuinely don’t know what to do?

Jesus doesn’t promise that we’ll always have all the answers — but He does invite us to **ask, seek and knock**. And He reminds us that behind that invitation is a Father who is good, who hears us, and who knows what we need.

This week in **Real Faith. Real Friction.** we looked at Matthew 7:7–12 and the encouragement to keep trusting God when the way forward isn’t clear.

God’s love isn’t based on who you are. It’s based on who He is ❤️

1 John 4:10 states, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

Think about that for a moment.
God loved you first. His love was never dependent on your perfection, your performance, or what you could offer Him. It came from the very heart of who He is.

We’re grateful that Ps Ivan was invited to contribute to this month’s edition of The Baptist Pastor digital magazine, sharing some of the heart and thinking behind his upcoming book, "Before You Vote".

Why should Christians care about how we vote and what does it actually mean to think biblically before we make our mark?

Take a few minutes, have a read inside, and join the conversation.

🔥 Disciplemakers is in full swing!

Our meetings are underway, and we're learning how to become more confident in sharing the Gospel and leading people towards Jesus 🙏

Ever found yourself thinking, “Where do I even start?” or “What do I say?”

You're not alone. With a little encouragement, practical guidance, and a willingness to step out in faith, those conversations can become a whole lot easier.

The Disciplemakers course is for anyone who wants to grow in their ability to share their faith and help others discover Jesus.

📖 We meet every Sunday after church for the next few weeks.
If you'd like to join us, we'd love to have you. Come learn, grow, and be equipped to make disciples.
