Amanzimtoti Baptist Church

Amanzimtoti Baptist Church Demonstrates to all people, in a winsome way. Emphasises both public, corporate worship and private, personal worship. But these times are rare.

Amanzimtoti Baptist Church is a family found by Jesus, regardless of age, culture or background, and following His plan for our lives as revealed through His word. Itโ€™s our aim to be a church that:

Maintains an emphasis on biblical teaching in each area of its program and ministry, understanding that the Word of God is the fundamental and authoritative foundation for all Christian living. the love

of Christ in word and deed; and therefore is a loving, friendly, kind, non- judgmental, giving church; committed to reach out to people and meet human need. Sees itself as family, enjoying true fellowship; able to share joys, hurts and burdens; while responding in a loving, encouraging and supporting way. Is a Christ-centred community; a worshipping, prayerful, Spirit-led, living, vibrant, enthusiastic company of disciples; seeking to be all Christ would have us be. Is united in purpose; committed to be doers of the Word together; as active participants in confidently and boldly proclaiming the Gospel by every means to all people. Knows one anotherโ€™s needs and provides diverse and ongoing training for ministry for all ages, levels and areas of life and ministry. Is engaged in, and encourages serious and regular prayer as a means of growing in grace and invoking the activity of God in our midst. There is a real desire to be the kind of church where people can be loved and accepted as they seek to follow Christ. We desire to be a church, where the grace of God can be manifested in the lives of our people. Many churches, in an effort to be true to Godโ€™s Word, become judgmental and legalistic. We believe such churches are not being true to the Word by doing so, but are in fact discouraging people from developing a living relationship with Christ. It is possible to stand without apology for truth and holy living without becoming legalistic. There are times when church discipline must be taken for the sake of the church. On the whole, we choose to trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives into the image of Jesus Christ and to love one another along the way.

๐ŸŒ June Mission Focus: Dave & Nikki Bremner

This month, we are praying for Dave and Nikki Bremner, who are serving in USA through SIM (Serving In Mission) ๐Ÿ™- Director of Leader Development at Fort Mill, South Carolina,

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ As they develop leaders, minister, build relationships, and share the hope of Christ, let's commit to lifting them up in prayer.

Pray for wisdom as they navigate new opportunities and challenges. Pray for God's provision, protection, and encouragement. Pray for their family, that they would continue to grow in faith, health, and joy as they serve together.

โœ Most importantly, pray that God would use them powerfully to reach people with the Gospel, strengthen believers, and point many to Jesus.

As a church family, let's remember that missions is not just something that happens overseas. It is a partnership in prayer, support, and faith as we join God in His work around the world.

"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things" โ€“ Romans 10:15

Missed Sunday? Catch up online as we continue our journey through the Book of John.

This week, we reflected on John 9:8โ€“41, a powerful passage that asks an important question: when Jesus opens our eyes, will we believe?

Church family, let's hear from you ๐Ÿ‘‡

What's one thing you wish more people knew about Jesus?

Not what people say about Him.
Not what culture says about Him.

๐Ÿ’› What have you personally discovered about Jesus that you wish everyone knew?

Maybe it's His grace.
His patience.
His faithfulness.
His willingness to meet us where we are.

Share your answer in the comments. Your words might be exactly what someone needs to hear today.

โœ On Sunday, Pastor Ayanda delivered a powerful message from 1 Peter 4:12โ€“19, reminding us that suffering for Christ is not unusual, but something believers have faced throughout history.

The message tied in deeply with the visit from Open Doors and the sobering reality that, even today, millions of Christians around the world face persecution simply because they follow Jesus.

As we reflect on what we heard, letโ€™s not allow these stories to become distant statistics. Letโ€™s remember our brothers and sisters in Christ in prayer.

๐Ÿ™ Letโ€™s pray for courage, endurance, protection, and faithfulness for those who are suffering for the Gospel.

We also encourage you to support the work of Open Doors by learning more about the needs of the persecuted church and joining their prayer initiatives.

Missed Sunday? Catch up online.

This week, Pastor Ayanda delivered a powerful message on a truth that many Christians wrestle with: following Jesus does not exempt us from suffering.

The Christian life was never promised to be easy, comfortable, or free from hardship. Yet in the midst of trials, we have a God who is present, faithful, and at work even when we cannot see it.

If you've ever wondered why difficult seasons come, even when you're faithfully serving the Lord, this message will encourage and challenge you.

On Sunday, 31 May, weโ€™ll be welcoming Open Doors International for what promises to be a powerful and eye-opening service ๐Ÿ’œ

Around the world, millions of Christians face persecution and discrimination simply for following Jesus. Open Doors serves the persecuted Church through prayer, practical support, discipleship, relief aid, and encouragement to believers living in some of the hardest places to be a Christian.

During their visit, weโ€™ll hear real stories from believers who continue to stand firm in their faith despite immense opposition. It will be a time to reflect, pray, and be reminded of the privilege we have to freely gather, worship, and share the Gospel.

Join us as we stand with our brothers and sisters around the world and learn how we, too, can support the global Church through prayer and action.
