Day 7 | Child Protection Week 💙🙏

As we come to the final day, we are reminded that every child matters, every child is valuable, and every child deserves love, care, protection, and a safe environment to grow. Children are a gift from God, and together we have a responsibility to protect, guide, and nurture them.

Let us continue to speak up, pray, and stand for the well-being of every child because their lives matter today and for the future.

Day 6 | Pray for God’s Protection 🙏🛡️

“The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” – Psalms 121:7–8

Today we lift up a prayer for God’s protection over our children, families, communities, and every step we take. May His covering, guidance, and presence surround us always, knowing that He watches over us now and forevermore.

Day 5 | Pray for Empowerment 🙏🔥

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – Romans 12:21

Today we pray for empowerment through the strength and guidance of God. May He empower us to stand for what is right, to walk in wisdom, and to respond with love and goodness in every situation. Through Christ, we are strengthened to overcome and to be a light in the lives of others.

Day 4 | Pray for Leaders🙏👑

“He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” – Colossians 1:17

Today we lift our leaders in prayer, asking God to grant them wisdom, strength, guidance, and hearts that seek His will. May they lead with integrity, humility, and according to God’s purpose, remembering that all authority and all things exist through Him and for Him.

Day 3 | Pray for Teachers🙏📚

Teachers are shaping lives, guiding children, and planting seeds for the future. Let us lift them in prayer, asking God for wisdom, strength, protection, and grace in their calling.

Day 2 | Pray for God’s Provision 🙏🙏

Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." – Matthew 7:7
A powerful reminder that God hears the prayers of His children. Keep asking in faith, keep seeking, and keep trusting God’s provision.

*"Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them..."* — Matthew 19:14

Jesus reminded His disciples that children are not to be pushed aside, ignored, or silenced. They are to be welcomed, heard, loved, and cared for. Every child deserves a voice, a safe space, and an opportunity to grow. When we listen to children, we give them assurance that they matter, they are protected, and they are valued.

*Every Child Matters. Every Voice Matters. Every Child Deserves to Be Heard.* 💜

AFM Family,

// CHILD PROTECTION: A KINGDOM RESPONSIBILITY 👑✝️

Child Protection Week (29 May-5 June) reminds us that caring for children is a Kingdom responsibility - and not only a social responsibility. Throughout Scripture, God also reveals His heart for the vulnerable, the broken, and the voiceless. As the Church, we are called to reflect that heart through compassion, protection, and practical care.

AFM Welfare encourages every assembly and believer to prayerfully consider the role we can play in creating safer environments for children in our homes, churches, and communities.

At AFM Welfare, we see both the pain and the resilience of vulnerable children every day. We currently care for 446 children across 34 Child and Youth Care Centres and 13 Foster Homes nationwide. This includes babies, older children, and children with severe disabilities who entered our care because of abuse, neglect, abandonment, or unsafe circumstances. This number reflects the formal national welfare projects coordinated through AFM Welfare. Across the wider Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa, acts of care and protection are taking place every day through local AFM Assemblies: feeding schemes, family strengthening, emergency support, counselling, child protection responses, and community outreach. Together, this combined footprint reveals a living network of compassion.

Compassion must move beyond words into action. As believers, may we continue to build communities where children are protected, families are strengthened, and the love of Christ is made visible through our care for the most vulnerable among us.

Yours in Christ!
