Important Update: Family Fun 5K CANCELLED for Rally Day.

After careful consideration, our Pastors and Church Council have decided to cancel this year’s Family Fun 5K due to
unusually low registration numbers.

However, our Rally Day celebration is still fully on!

Join us Rally Sunday, September 13, for an exciting morning as we welcome new faces during the Reception of New Members and support our students with a Blessing of the Backpacks.

We look forward to gathering together for a wonderful day of worship, fellowship, and celebration!

“O Dust, arise!”

Remembering Wendell Berry

The world was saddened to learn today of the death of Wendell Berry, the beloved Kentucky poet, farmer, author, and advocate for the land, who died yesterday at the age of 92.

At St. Paul Lutheran we feel especially grateful that during this past Lenten season we had the opportunity to spend time with Berry’s poetry through our “Sabbath Is…” series. Week after week, his words invited us to slow down, pay attention, sit with mystery and lament, notice the beauty of creation, and discover God’s presence in the ordinary places of our lives.

His poems became companions for our Lenten journey, helping us see Sabbath not simply as rest from our work, but as a way of seeing the world and receiving it as God’s gift.

We are grateful for the wisdom, beauty, and faithfulness Wendell Berry shared with the world. May his words continue to remind us to slow down, pay attention, and live more gently upon this earth.

Rest in peace, Wendell Berry. And thank you for helping us discover that Sabbath is… so much more than we imagined.

Save the Dates! Fall at St. Paul Lutheran is going to be busy!

There’s a lot happening at our church this fall, and we don’t want you to miss it! From worship and learning to fellowship, service, music, family activities, and plenty of opportunities to connect with one another, there are lots of ways to be part of our community of faith. In addition to the events listed our adult vocal and bell choirs will also be resuming in September. Stay tuned!

A Fresh Start for our Discovery Center Playground!

A big thank you to Boy Scout Troop 142 for taking on a special service project at St. Paul Lutheran's Discovery Center! Our Scouts recently sanded and re-stained the wooden playset in our Discovery Center playground. It looks like new again!

Their hard work will help keep the playset safer, more welcoming, and more fun for all of the students who use it. We are grateful for the Scouts’ time, effort, and willingness to serve our congregation and Discovery Center.
