A big thank you to some of the scouts and leaders from our chartered Troop 9142 for their hard work this week at St. Paul Lutheran! Despite the rain and misty weather they rolled up their sleeves and shoveled fresh sand into the Discovery Center playground sandboxes, helping create a fun space for our kids to play and learn. Troop 9142 is a great group of young people and leaders who serve with enthusiasm, generosity, and a strong work ethic. We are grateful for their partnership and proud to support them in their scouting journey. Thank you for making a difference!

Pastor Justin has guided our congregation through redevelopment. We are grateful for his guidance and for the faithful and prayerful process of Bishop election. Congratulations, Pastor Justin!

The Rev. Justin Grimm has been elected to a six-year term as bishop of the Saint Paul Area Synod! He currently serves as the synod's director for evangelical mission and assistant to the bishop for congregational vitality, a position he’s held since 2015. He previously served as lead pastor at Advent Lutheran Church in Lake Ann, Mich., after first serving as the mission developer. He is a graduate of Northwestern College, Iowa and Luther Seminary. He was ordained in 2005. Bishop-Elect Grimm will succeed The Rev. Patricia Lull, who is completing her second term as bishop. An installation service will be held Sept. 13.
