This morning we prepare to gather as a forgiven people, clinging to Christ, singing praises to God, listening to the Word preached with eager hearts and listening ears. What glory! What joy!

“Jesus’ love for His people led Him to the cross and to provide for them once He was gone. And from that, our main takeaways are to love and obey Jesus, to walk in the Spirit’s power, and to live in light of the fact that it is not death to die. Doing these things, in light of Jesus’ work and promises, is the path to peace as we await Jesus’ return.”

Join us today at 9AM for Sunday School and 10:30AM as we gather to worship our great God and hear the Word preached.

“The big idea in this passage is that on account of being one with the Father, on account of His sacrificial death being accepted by the Father, and for the Father’s glory, Jesus’ followers will do marvelous works and have our prayers answered. Consequently, the main takeaways are for all of God’s people to courageously obey Jesus and pray expectantly to Jesus.”

Join us in person this morning at 10:30 for worshiping our great God together and hearing the Word preached from John 14:1-11.

“The heart of this passage—the two big ideas—are (1) A command from Jesus to not let troubles overtake you and (2) An explanation of how belief in God is the means to obey. The main takeaways for us are to (1) Carefully consider what troubles and doesn’t trouble us, (2) Carefully consider how we respond to our troubles, and (3) Fight to believe the things Jesus teaches in this passage when trouble comes.”

“I hope to help you see the big idea of this passage: Jesus knew that Judas would betray Him, yet He chose him anyway for the glory of God and the good of His people. The main takeaways are, therefore, seeking the Spirit’s help as we fight for humility, perseverance, and a tight tethering to the Word of God.”

Pastor Dave’s sermon is now online to listen to from this morning. You can subscribe to the podcast of Grace Church sermons here. 👇🏻

John 13:18-30

“If you read this passage and are only appalled at what Judas did, then you don't yet know the sinfulness of your own heart apart from the grace of God.”

Join us for worship this morning at 10:30AM.

“In ways that are not always entirely clear, Jesus was using foot-washing both to teach the virtue of humble, sacrificial, service and to teach about His imminent and ultimate act of humble, sacrificial service (the cross). That is, He was using His washing of their feet as way of explaining His washing of their sins.”

“The big idea of this passage is that Jesus' glory includes a love-to-the-end, foot-washing kind of glory. And the main takeaways for us are to learn to love true glory, to listen to and obey Jesus in all things, and to follow Jesus' example in expressing, condescending, servant love wherever we go.”

UPDATE: 6:00pm start time.😀

What do we honor on Maundy Thursday? The weird word “maundy” is short for mandatum in Latin, meaning command. It’s on this day that we celebrate this beautiful new command Jesus gave us at the last supper before his crucifixion. Join us this evening for our Maundy Thursday service at 6:00pm; a mix of scripture readings, worship songs and a short message.
