Luke 3:8-14 GNTD
[8] DO THOSE THINGS that will SHOW that you have TURNED FROM YOUR SINS. And don't start saying among yourselves that Abraham is your ancestor. I tell you that God can take these rocks and make descendants for Abraham!" This indicates that faith without action is dead..(no faith). There should be a visible something to show this woman, man or youth is CHANGED!! Your father/mother whether they were holy, pastor, etc cannot stand in judgement for us. Going to Heaven is personal!!
[9] The ax is ready to cut down the trees at the roots; every tree that DOES NOT BEAR GOOD FRUIT will be cut down and thrown in the fire.” (An evil person can and shall not bear a good fruit. Someone who says he/she knows God and sells alcohol, ci******es, condoms, or things that prohibits Godliness does NOT and is fake! Our deeds are like fruits..what fruits are we bearing?? Wanna go to Hell??)
Now here comes sensible people eager to know God. Their souls are thirsty for water!! We have to know the requirements before, during and after baptism. It's not just accepting the Lord and jumping into a "pool", (while there are rivers all around you 🤔, coming out and say I am baptize).You take a loan without knowing the consequences??? So get the facts right!! Baptism is another covenant. Understand it well be ready not to breach the covenant!! The people didn't just get baptized but asked questions; understand issues please!!
[10] The people asked him, “What are we to do, then?” [11] He answered, “Whoever has two shirts must give one to the man who has none, and whoever has food must share it.” [12] Some tax collectors came to be baptized, and they asked him, “Teacher, what are we to do?” [13] “Don't collect more than is legal,” he told them. [14] Some soldiers also asked him, “What about us? What are we to do?” He said to them, “Don't take money from anyone by force or accuse anyone falsely. Be content with your pay.”
Everything we see here is our deeds so our faith must be backed by actions. People are always talking about "faith, Grace but they don't really understand it and many will cry that day. Pray the Holy Spirit to be your teacher and be humble to hear, accept and do what He is teaching you!! There is a fruit of repentance and the fruit of the Spirit!!
