Having a devotion to our Lady through the rosary brings many benefits, including a deeper relationship with Jesus, graces and indulgences, spiritual protection against temptations, and an opportunity to reflect on the Gospels. Looking for ways to grow in your relationship with God this summer? Praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament is a great way to grow in your relationship with Jesus. When you pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus is not just there spiritually, but also physically as well, in the Monstrance or the tabernacle. There might be a perpetual adoration chapel around you, or your home parish might offer adoration one day/night of the week! If not, praying in front of the tabernacle is also great.

According to St. Theresa of Avila, Doctor of the Church, mental prayer is “nothing else than an intimate friendship, a frequent heart-to-heart with Him by whom we know ourselves to be loved.” Mental prayer is a great way to grow in your relationship with God as your Father, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the role that God plays in your life. Looking for a way to grow in your relationship with God this summer? One way you can do that is by learning about the lives of the saints. The saints are a great example of how to live out your faith in a deeper way, and continuing to grow in your relationship with God. There are lots of resources out there to learn more about the lives of the saints, we recommend checking them out!

We invite you to join the Class of 2026 for their Baccalaureate Mass with Bishop McManus on Saturday, May 16th at 5pm in the Plourde Recreation Center. Please note: there will be no 10am Sunday Mass in the Chapel. Baccalaureate Mass is an anticipated Sunday Mass, sufficing the required Sunday Mass attendance in the Catholic Church. All from the Assumption and greater Worcester community are welcome to join us for this celebration!
