In a recent leadership meeting, Michael Shannon Segree spoke a powerful truth that hit home: Real leadership isn't measured by how many followers you gather, but by how many leaders you build.
​If we are only holding onto our position, we're managing not leading.
True leadership means
▪︎Educating those around you with what you've learned.
▪︎​Discipling them through relational, hands-on growth.
▪︎​Equipping them to step into your role and eventually do it better than you did.

​Jesus modeled this perfectly. He spent three years pouring into twelve people, equipped them, and handed over the mission "As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." John 20:21
​The ultimate test of a leader isn't what happens while you’re in charge it’s what thrives after you step aside.

Had such an incredible Bible study last night! I am continuously thanking God for bringing such strong, beautiful, and powerful women into my life.
​While I deeply love gathered worship, there is something truly life-giving about stepping beyond the four walls of the church building and stepping out into the world. We are the Body of Christ, and our calling doesn't stop at the sanctuary doors. There is a whole world out there filled with people who are waiting to experience God’s love firsthand.

​Find a great local church family, pray for intentional community, and get out there to meet people! And remember don't write someone off just because you didn’t instantly click the first time. God intentionally designed the Body with different gifts, personalities, and perspectives
(1 Corinthians 12). If we all looked, spoke, and thought the same way, life would be pretty boring—and we’d miss out on the beauty of unity in diversity!

​"Two are better than one... if either of them falls down, one can help the other up." (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Let’s be sisters who lift each other up, love unconditionally, and build a strong sisterhood everywhere we go. Love you all and can’t wait to meet even more amazing ladies on this journey!

Tonight's youth group was amazing and funny. We have been discussing the meaning of salvation and I had plans to do that today. However, one of our guys, Riley Kidd, was invited to do a Bible study Friday in Newkirk.

You got to remain flexible, and this was a great opportunity for him to practice. After all, we're trying to create disciples.

Before all this took place though, I walked in the group only to find one of my guys in full Emcy mode! I love these guys! So full of life!!

Anyway, Riley did great and I couldn't be prouder of the growth of this group. Y'all have a good night and stay dangerously close to Christ.
