Did you know that in the late 1800's communion wine was made by soaking raisins in water, sweetened, strained and served fresh.

December 7, 1835, Col. Parker was charged for violating the sabbath in traveling between Hinsdale and Wi******er. He acknowledged the act and had to confess publicly on the sabbath. Apology accepted and his standing in the church was restored.

Did you know!!
As we come to this Memorial Day Weekend, we remember those of our congregation who served. Here is the headstone of Reverend Elijah Harmon, who served our church from 1867-1885. He also served in the Company E 52nd Infantry Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers that was formed in October 1862 in response to President Lincoln’s call for 300,000 volunteers. For this Memorial Day we honor you.
