Who does Jesus say the best is?

He uses the illustration of a little child.
Someone who has not accomplished anything yet is fully accepted by God.

From Panic to Peace: The Confession at Caesarea Philippi
The pagan idol Pan—a half-man, half-goat deity—was once worshipped at the very site where Jesus asked His disciples, "Who do people say that I am?"

In the shadow of this false god, Peter delivered his landmark declaration: "You are the Christ!" This confession changes everything. Because of who Jesus is—the true Messiah—He alone is worthy of our devotion.

When the "panic" of life (a word derived from the name Pan) threatens to overwhelm us, we find that true peace isn't found in avoiding the storm, but in the depth of our discipleship. By following Jesus, we move from the chaos of the world into the rest only He can provide.

"We tend to look at caring as an attitude of the strong toward the weak, of the powerful toward the powerless, of the haves toward the have-nots.… Still, when we honestly ask ourselves which persons in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not-knowing, not-curing, not-healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is the friend who cares." - Henri J. Are you ready to be a better teammate for Jesus? In a world obsessed with being mega—chasing personal achievements and social status—Jesus calls His followers to go micro. Looking at Luke 9:37-50, we dive into the messy reality of the disciples' mistakes, from their prayerless self-reliance in the valley to their prideful arguments over who would be the greatest in the kingdom.

True greatness isn't a competition; it’s about unselfish service and working together on Team Jesus. To build unbeatable kingdom chemistry, we have to practice three vital disciplines every single day:

Faithfulness in deep, sustained prayer.

Focus on the ultimate triumph of the cross.

Friendliness that embraces and serves others with humility.

Stop trying to win a solo trophy. Let’s huddle up, lock arms, and remember that teamwork makes the dream work!
