After some conversation that included church leadership (elders, deacons, trustees, and officers), we invite the congregation to keep gathering at 10 a.m. for worship this fall. We will evaluate this start time as a congregation at a called meeting in the late fall.

In the meantime!

Welcome Back Sunday will be on Sunday, September 13! Join us for a time of:
- worship as summer wraps up and fall begins
- the return of the choir to lead us in worship
- a Blessing of the Backpacks - where we will invite students, teachers, and academic administrators to receive a blessing as the school year starts
- a time for fellowship with ice cream
- and an open house about the many things PUCC is doing as a community of faith and witness.

Dear God
When my eldest is sick with worry
Over what those in power are doing
When war is the daily headline
and economies of Scale
Become the thrum of news

Hold our hands
And teach us
war no more

Prince of Peace
Who came clothed
In such healing
It spilled out
onto the people
you touched
and talked to
and loved

Scarred and
Risen Savior
We know that
You want healing
to continue
to spill out for the
world

You who sent
The Holy Spirit
to Heal an ear
of a slave
on the Night of
your arrest

Heal our ears
we pray

Help us to stop
the violence
With word
and deed
And thought
we pray.
