Wednesday nights are back at First Christian Church! We’re excited to welcome kids and youth for an evening of faith, friendship, fun, and growing together.

🧼 Help Us Fill the Buckets! 🪣
CWS Hygiene Kits & Cleanup Buckets
When we travel to Camp Christian on October 10 for Regional Assembly, we want to take a little extra with us — help for people whose lives have been impacted by disaster.
We're collecting supplies to assemble Church World Service (CWS) Hygiene Kits and Cleanup Buckets. These kits provide practical, everyday necessities to people working to recover and rebuild after disasters.
You can help! As you shop, consider picking up an item or two from the lists below and bringing them to the church. We'll assemble the kits and take them with us to Camp Christian.
🧼 HYGIENE KIT
Washcloth
Nail clipper
Bath-size bar of soap
Toothbrush
Travel-size deodorant
Travel-size fragrance-free lotion
Travel-size shampoo
Travel-size toothpaste
Sturdy wide-tooth comb
🪣 CLEANUP BUCKET
5 scouring pads
7 sponges (including 1 large)
Scrub brush
18 reusable cleaning towels
16–34 oz. liquid dish soap
12–40 oz. concentrated household cleaner
50–100 ft. clothesline
5 N95 dust masks
2 pairs heavy-duty waterproof dishwashing gloves
1 pair heavy-duty reusable work gloves
20–28 heavy-duty 30–45 gallon trash bags
All items must be new and should meet the specifications on the lists.
It may seem like a small thing — a bar of soap, a washcloth, a pair of gloves, a trash bag — but when someone's home has been damaged by a disaster, these ordinary things can make a very real difference.
Let's fill a few buckets, pack a few kits, and take Christian love with us to Camp Christian. ❤️

A look back at Sunday at First Christian! 🌱

What a wonderful morning of worship, music, prayer, fellowship, and life together.

We began our September stewardship series, “Planting the Seeds of Faith,” with the message “Preparing the Soil,” reflecting on the ways generations before us prepared the soil for ministry that continues to grow today.

We are grateful for everyone who shared their gifts in worship—from music and leadership to the many people who simply showed up to worship, serve, welcome, and participate. Each person has a part in what God is growing here.

As we move into a new season of ministry, may we continue planting seeds of faith, caring for what has been entrusted to us, and preparing good soil for those who will come after us.
