Our staff (and friends!) just returned from the EFCA District Conference, and our hearts are full! It was a powerful time of worship, connection, and growth as we stepped away to be poured into so that we can better serve this incredible body of Christ.

We wrapped up this morning with a challenging word from Philippians 4:8–9, reminding us to fix our thoughts on whatever is true, honorable, pure, and commendable. It’s such a vital call for all of us as followers of Jesus: to not only "think on these things" but to put them into practice so that the God of peace is with us in every moment.

We feel refreshed, focused, and so expectant for what God is doing in our church!

Imagine sitting in a doctor’s office, waiting for the results of a scan. You’re expecting the worst. You’ve already started planning your funeral. You’re living under a death sentence. 🩺📉

But then the doctor walks in and says: "I can’t explain it, but it’s gone. You’re cancer-free."

In that one moment, your entire world reverses. You go from planning a burial to planning a banquet. That is the power of the Resurrection. Easter isn't just a holiday; it’s a Great Reversal. It’s a Cancellation Notice for your debt and a Celebration Notice for your life. As the old saying goes: "The grave was the prison-house, but the Resurrection was the jail-delivery!" ⛓️🔓

The "It is Finished" of Friday has become the "He is Risen" of Sunday. Your seat at the table is reserved.

Have you ever experienced a "Great Reversal" in your life? Share your story or just type "He is Risen!" in the comments below!

This Easter, we celebrated the ultimate reversal: from death to life, from curse to blessing, from a table set for despair to a wedding feast of eternal joy!

Just as Jesus is the "first fruits" of the resurrection, His rising guarantees our own. He didn't just survive death—He conquered it, securing your invitation to heaven's banquet. The tomb is empty. Your seat at the table is reserved. The question is: will you RSVP?

We witnessed beautiful baptisms this morning as Hannah, Amira, Cheryl, and AJ declared their faith. Their stories remind us that God's grace washes us white as snow, no matter our past. Jesus paid it all—taking the lot we deserved, dying the death meant for us, and rising to give us eternal life.

You are the honored guest. The King has pulled out your chair. The 88,001st meal—the one that truly satisfies—awaits. Will you accept the invitation?

Theology doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it takes a child to remind us of the simple truth of the Gospel.

My daughter Evelyn recently summarized the atonement in the best possible way: Jesus takes our trouble.

We often over-complicate it, but that is the heart of the Good Shepherd. He doesn't just watch us in our trouble; He takes it upon Himself.

If you’re feeling heavy today, remember Evelyn’s theology: You don't have to carry it. He already did.
