Threads of Tradition: A Torah Cover Fundraiser

Roni and Bob Jossen and Judy and Mark Zeichner were among the first donors to support the Threads of Tradition project. Here's why:

"Our Sifrei Torah are the heart of Judaism and our community. We now have an opportunity to further beautify the physical appearance of the Torahs by contributing to the Threads of Tradition Project.. As past Presidents of TIC, we encourage all members of our community to add their financial support to this project, as we have done."

Just as the heavenly lights illuminate our path and the creatures of sea and sky fill creation with life, so too does our Torah bring light and life to our congregation, guiding and sustaining us from generation to generation.

Like water, Torah renews and sustains us through every season of life. Like a tree, our congregation is strengthened by the roots we plant and the generations that grow from them.

Representing the seven days of creation, our new Shabbat and holiday Torah covers will celebrate the world G-d created and reflect themes of renewal, continuity, and legacy. We invite you to help bring this vision to life through a gift in honor or memory of a loved one.

Light is often a symbol of wisdom, hope, holiness, and the enduring presence of God in our lives. Each time we open the ark and lift the Torah, we are reminded that Torah continues to be that light for our community, guiding us across generations.
