The Ohio County Solid Waste Authority is hosting its next
4th Sunday Creek Cleanup on Sunday, June 28, and are looking for volunteers! The cleanup will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Check-in will be at 163 Link Avenue in Triadelphia. Much of the litter and debris targeted for removal was left behind by the June 2025 flood events, and volunteer support will help
restore the area, clear flood-related materials that remain
along the creek banks, and reduce debris from continuing
downstream.
If interested, contact Will at [email protected].
Volunteers should plan to wear clothing and shoes that can get wet or muddy. A reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and tick protection are encouraged.
OCSWA will provide bags, gloves, and grabbers. Thanks to West Liberty University, we will also have a limited number of hip waders available for volunteers to borrow. If you have your own hip waders, we strongly suggest bringing them.
Please note that this event is weather- and creek-condition dependent. If weather or creek conditions do not allow for safe cleanup activities, the event will be canceled.
